His skills are indisputably exceptional and he has always been available in the event of an emergency when our family needed him. We have also referred several people to him over the years who always call and thank us for the referral. "I have been going to Dr. DeGroat’s office for over a decade. He is a great dentist and very friendly. He always takes time to explain the procedures and I never feel like he is rushing me. His entire staff is very personable. Jennifer usually cleans my teeth but over the years I have probably been seen by all the hygienists."

"Dr. DeGroat was my dentist for a long time and he did a good job. He's expensive though and attracts a richer patient base. If you're prepared to be patronized and looked down upon this is the dentist for you. Be warned, however, that they sometimes talk about patients within earshot of other patients. That happened to me and it was humiliating. He also doesn't provide nitrous oxide or other sedation for those who are very anxious. At least he didn't for me. I liked Dr. De Groat until I felt he was looking down on me and making judgments about me as a person."

"I have been going to Dr. Degroat's office since I was a kid - over 30 years!! I remember they used to keep track of who went first between me and my younger brother so we could take turns going first and not fight, haha!! I left the state and then the country back in 2004, but I have not, in over 10 years, been able to find anyone like Dr. Degroat's office. Believe me, I have tried to find quality dental care and even the "best dentist" doesn't match up to this office. Everyone is incredibly attentive and warm. Jennifer is a great hygienist and has been there as long as I can remember - I think she was the one that had to put up with me and my brother :). Maureen is a wonderful hygienist and as soon as I book my ticket to Michigan, I call the office and request Maureen for a cleaning. Pam is the receptionist and has also been there for as long as I can remember. Everyone at this office has taught me so much about dental care and because of them, I have great teeth. My entire family goes here - mom, dad, sister. Dr. Degroat and fam has been great to my family over the years...and now we have a new addition to the family, a 16 month old that we will be bringing in very soon!"
