"We moved into a new home in Shelby Township and bought all of our appliances again from Sargents Appliances. Henry has been more than helpful and we finally got everything completed due to a couple simple mistakes but they stood up and did everything right. Don't go to Superstores to buy your appliances you will not get the kind of service you get from Sargents Appliances. You'll find their prices very competitive but their service is second to none and I guarantee you you will not get that from the other stores"
"Our Admiral washer that we bought from a Big Box store in 2013, cleaned well, but recently in the last 7 weeks, it started to smell funky, to the point of being unbearable. Admiral had no plan, Youtube had some quick fixes, but we cut our losses & moved on. So wanting to think outside of the box, I started a thread on social media. If you were to buy a New Washing Machine, what brand & why? 93% replied Speed Queen Its the last washer you will ever buy! Made in the USA Comes with a 5 year factory warranty Stainless Steel Drum Quiet Cost effective to run over the course of a year. Old School knobs vs a Nasa Control Panel. So like most folks I googled price points, checked out on line independent reviews At first blush I gasped, twice the price of any washer I had ever owned in my 60+ years But the construction, the quality, the reputation, made me go for it. So we landed at Sargent's in downtown Rochester & were placed under the care of Mr. William Sweet. No nonsense gentleman that knows his products, kind & super knowledgeable. ( You know that confident feeling you get with a genuine handshake, smile & eye contact, he is that Old School Guy) Showed us the T-7, T-5 & the T-3 Plus options of knobs or technical buttons Lids locking or not Load levels pre-sets or auto fill We chose the TR-5 , normal msrp $1,369 On sale 11-8-23 for $1,199 + tax & delivery William did not try to upsell or persuade, he let the product speak for itself, our transaction, including setting up a delivery date took less than 25 minutes. Sargent you won us over. ____DELIVERY_____ Purchasing this on Wednesday 11-8-23 had no idea about delivery, stock & inventory, but William had multiple slots open on Friday 11-10-23! The crew Alex & Chris called us at 10 am Friday Morning to tell us our delivery window as Noon - 2pm. Chris verified cross streets & the address. At 11:50 AM, they rolled up with ID & Labeled shirts, introduced themselves, took some measurements & brought the unit in, installed it, hose, drain & plugged it in, gave us a walk through & started our first load. Alex cut up our delivery box to make it recycle bin ready, to truly lighten our loader. As we were signing paperwork , our fridge made a regular door open warning sound, caught both of there attention, they looked at me like , can we tackle this? Yes sir go for it. They silenced the alarm, adjusted my settings & provided peace of mind. These men were Pro's from start to finish. So usually Appliances stories & stores can run off of the rails. Not at Sargent Appliance , Rochester , MI."
"We have a small laundry area and switched from the traditional standalone washer and dryer setup some years ago to an all in one machine from LG. We recently had an issue and decided to purchase a new machine rather than repair the broken LG. The LG was always great, but we wanted to research all the latest options on the market. I was honestly surprised to see so many positive reviews and videos for the GE PFQ97HSPVDS as all in one machines typically get mixed reviews. Since our LG broke I was looking to purchase the GE ASAP. I called Henry at Sargent Appliance in Rochester and purchased the GE PFQ97HSPVDS over the phone. He promised delivery the next day and we were in fact washing our first load within 24 hours after the purchase. This machine is a beast and we love it! It’s only my wife and I, but I would imagine the 4.8 cu ft capacity should be sufficient for most families. We hang up and air dry shirts, jeans, and certain other items. We typically only dry towels, blankets, socks/underwear, and some other items. The GE is faster and dries better than our old machine. The app notifies us when a load is almost finished (~5 min) and again when it is finished. If we need to do back to back loads, the notifications help make sure we don’t have down time. We always start to wash clothes which will be hung up to air dry, then continue with a load or two which we need to dry and know will take a couple hours. Many people are concerned about not being able to wash another load while drying clothes as you would typically do when you have standalone machines. This is not a problem for us, and I think most people will adjust with proper planning and expectations. Another concern some people have with all in one machines is clothes feeling damp after the dry cycle. Typically you can do a quick shake/snap of any item and any remaining moisture wicks away. We usually empty the dry clothes at the end of a cycle into a laundry basket and gently toss them up a couple times. Everything is typically 100% dry. So far the GE has performed better than our old LG with clothes and towels feeling completely dry when we open the machine. The GE does have a filter which is easy to take out and wipe. We do it after every load and it only takes a matter of seconds. The machine will also give you a reminder to clean the filter after every few loads. Keeping the filter clean will ensure better drying. After removing lint from the filter by hand, we also use our Dyson with an attachment to go over the filter and inside where the filter is inserted. I believe this will help keep the machine running better/longer (we hope)! After each load, we wipe the door and the seal. We also leave the soap door and main laundry door cracked open to let moisture dry out and hopefully prevent any potential mold. Overall we would highly recommend Henry and Sargent Appliance out of Rochester, and the GE PFQ97HSPVDS All in One machine!"
"I purchased the new combo laundry washer/dryer in September. The previous owners washer quit on me. My family has been in Rochester a very long time & my late father always said to call Sergeants when I needed an appliance. I remembered that & I'm so glad I called them first. ABC warehouse wanted to charge me $600 more for the identical machine! Sargeants not only had a better price, they delivered it the next day! This single Mom highly recommends sargeants."
"Ordered fridge dishwasher microwave stove. Fridge arrived with broken compressor so unable to cool. Had to argue with LG and Sargent to get a replacement fridge. Less than 2 years later have had to have three service calls on the range and now the display panel isn’t working to change oven temperature. All of these appliances are garbage that I now have to replace. My salesman was Will."
