"I went to four transmission shops in the area and chose Bob’s transmission. Would definitely recommend to a friend. They did a great job. Great service."
"Incredible job. Few companies where owner personally calls you and gives clear prompt updates. My car is 2009 huyndai and runs like it's brand new."
"Upstanding, honest!! Got me in quick both times I have used them, first replaced my transmission, this time I had a "phantom leak" that was diagnosed by another company. So of course I took it back to Bobs, cause they did the original work. They could have gouged and unknowing customer, instead, they said we have no money to be made here and we diagnosed it at no charge to you 3 years later!! We stand behind our work!! 100% suggest you look them up and USE THEM!!!! THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL!! T. Dill GR MI"
"When my older car started to have transmission relate issues, I went to a local dealer in big rapids who diagnosed it to be a bad transmission- estimate over $3,000. Went to a local transmission-bad transmission estimate $2,400. Since I was between jobs, I called Bob’s transmission and talked to Bob himself. Glad I did. He said he could look at it if I could get it there but I was at least an hour away. After talking to him awhile, he asked if I could look under the hood, which I did, asked me to check a few simple thing, He then asked my to check on top of the engine and look for a hose that went to the top of the engine from the transmission, I found it. He asked if it was intact, I said no it had a crack in the hose. He then directed me to cut off a small section and put it back on, which I did. That fixed it, simple fix the other guys did not even look for it. I would recommend Bobs transmission I’m a heartbeat. Fair, knowledgeable. Just thought you would like to know."
"Waited a couple of weeks for an appointment, which is normal for most automotive places. Was going to drop car off and have my Dad pick me up, but it never got that far. I was told "I've seen this a dozen times. It's the torque converter and valve body! $3,200 . The good news is, you don't need a whole new one for $8,000" Did not test drive Did not do any diagnostics. I drove 100 miles for nothing! I have assumptions and theories based upon skill and knowledge when im.trouble.shooting equipment. HOWEVER, I also use tools and diagnostic equipment to back it up! If you tell someone they need 3k + worth of work.... Back it up with proof of some sort!"
