"I asked Ron’s to replace dryer venting kit because lint was leaking. Previous dryer call by Gerrit’s found no dryer lint issue. Jeff from Ron’s Appliance came out and started looking at the dryer because bad seals would leak lint outside dryer. Listened to vent while running, checked outside and said suction works fine. Ordered dryer part for seals. I doubted availability (Maytag 1997). Called Jeff 2 days later, said checked all over and can’t get seals, need to buy a new dryer! I specifically requested dryer vent kit exchanged when called. Assumed dryer issue without looking inside 3-piece vent tubing. Love new Speedqueen for size! Sadly, good Maytag’s sitting in garage. Incidentally, called Jeff twice more due to new dryer install—lint fell out large clumps. Jeff had said Gerrit’s needs to install vent kit because they do new construction. However, we paid Jeff $95 to do it already. Trying to be proactive. Called Geritt’s sales to discuss post-delivery; they were happy to send correct 1-piece “metal and aluminum” vent hose with delivery the next week. Much relieved Ron’s $12 part is off (tin and paper). No charge for running to buy part, instead gouged us for $68. Was not safe. Almost left old bottom elbow attached to dryer after removing visible vent materials. Removed it myself---had another contractor coming soon. This took too long that morning and over 5 weeks. Old part outside loaded with lint. The most stressful thing about dealing with Ron’s was the completely avoidable and huge waste of everyone’s time!! Cannot believe an outfit such as this is allowed to treat our community members so poorly. We will miss the former owner."
"Ron’s did a fantastic job repairing our complex oven. Couldn’t get other companies to even look at it. Jeff and Alex have sold us on Ron’s Appliance Service. They have professionalism, knowledge and fare cost. Thanks!"
"I never post reviews but my experience with Ron's deserves it. Ron's is NON RESPONSIVE. Refrigerator icemaker had to be replaced. I paid for a service call and Ron's came to my house and said they had to order a part and would call me when received. Two weeks went by and no call so I called them. They said the part was on back order and they would call me when received. For the next month, they never called. I repeatedly called them and was told the part had definitely been ordered and would arrive in 3-5 days and they would call. No Call. So, I ordered the part myself on Amazon (and it came the NEXT DAY) and I installed it and it's working perfectly. Ron's service is TERRIBLE and frustrating and I would NEVER USE RON'S again."
"We have used Ron's in the past and was always happy with their service. But this time, not so much. When the service guy came out, I told him what the dryer was doing, and he said we can fix that, but we have to order the part (should be in on Monday or Tuesday and we will call), tells me I can use it in the meanwhile. A week went by, no call. So I called, no the part isnt in, we had to order out of state for it. And again, we will call when it comes in. Another week goes by, I call again, same response. And again, another week, I call again, this time I am told the part will be in Monday, and get scheduled for Thursday afternoon. Service guy comes out, starts working on dryer. He said he wanted to show me something, after he had the front off. Tells me that we had a lint fire at some point and highly recommends that we get a new dryer. Wish he would have taken the front of the dryer off the first time he was there. Would not have used the dryer had I known that or have the headache of waiting so long for the part."
"Our dishwasher broke in early March and we had a serviceman come and diagnose the problem, charging us $95. He ordered the parts immediately and said it would take a week or so to arrive at their shop and they’d schedule the repair. After two weeks with no call, I called and they said the part was back ordered and would be coming in a week or so. Cue a cycle of me calling once every one to two weeks, stating my name, and asking for an update on the part, and being told a day that it should arrive. Finally, today (mid-July), my husband called and asked for an update. The man who answered said that it would arrive Thursday. My husband then asked the name of the part, and the man had no clue what part was even needed. He had to ask for our name, the date that we had a serviceman come to diagnose our appliance, and our address. So he had been throwing out random dates all this time without even knowing what part we were looking for, clearly lying to us. We canceled our order with them since they clearly have no respect for their customers."
