"I needed my transmission flushed in 2020 because I drove into a deep puddle and got water in it. Was told they didn't perform transmission flushes which seems odd because they are a transmission shop. They told me to return to have my transmission filter changed to get any residual water. I had it flushed at the quick lube and dropped it off to have the filter changed. They called back saying I needed a new transmission because it wouldn't shift out of 1st gear. I was skeptical because I had no issues driving it after the fluid was flushed. Picked up my vehicle and noticed the check engine light was on. It would not shift correctly, but backed up just fine. I got it scanned at Oreilly and the code was for a shift solenoid. Changed both shift solenoids for less than $60 and guess what, transmission shifts fine again (still does in 2023). I find it hard to believe that a transmission shop would have missed that code entirely."
