"My wife and I were on our honeymoon in a cabin off the main drag and one night I left the light on in my car, allowing it not to start the next morning. Eventually we called Allouez Automotive and John was kind enough to promptly come out and jump it with some fancy tech. I was embarrassed because I knew I needed a new battery (mine had been leaking and making those green crystals). He suggested that I come in for a fast replacement, and I liked that there was no pressure and knew I could trust him. We dropped the car off and walked up to the gem and mineral store but everything was completed within an hour. I can’t thank him enough for coming to our rescue and keeping the good newlywed vibes going!"

"We were driving around the Keweenaw peninsula during our vacation when I heard a scraping noise from under our car. The engine shield below the car was partially disconnected and dragging. Someone recommended Allouez Auto and said her husband really trusts the owner to do good work. Her husband was right!! John the owner was friendly, got us in with just a 10 minute wait, they fixed the problem, charged us way less than I expected and sent us on our way. While we were waiting, we heard John interacting with several other customers on the phone and in person and it’s clear he loves what he does, is a straight shooter, and has earned his good reputation (as per the vast majority of reviews). "Was traveling in the area when my starter went out. Being 9 hours from home I took a chance and called to see if there was any way I could get my truck in. With no hesitation John sourced the part and told me if I could get it started to get it there and he would take care of me. He was the only one at the shop and got me in and got me fixed up. He was so nice and great to chat with. It was very hot and the phone was busy and he had several visitors stop in. He was kind and curtious to every caller and visitor while continuing his work.
