Reviews of Grant Stone
"Edit: After posting this review, Grant Stone replied to my earlier email and refunded me to compensate for repairs. tl;dr- initially very impressed but showed signs of poor quality and were not supported by company. I bought a pair of their Cap Toe boots in Crimson Chromexcel. Being in Canada, I paid a lot of money especially after exchange rates, shipping and duties and was happy to do so, given the reputation of the boot. Initially they were fantastic. Great look and feel. I wore them for a month in the late spring, took a break over the summer and got back to light use every other day in September. Unfortunately the sole started to separate at the toe on both boots. When I reached out to Grant Stone about it, they told me it was due to hitting my toes on something and I should see a cobbler to have them repaired. The folks at the shoe repair shop were very surprised by the lack of support from Grant Stone and said that there was no way the separation was caused by wear. They told me to get back in touch with Grant Stone. I did but they did not respond. For the money, I’d like to see a bigger commitment to customer service. Your reputation is better than the treatment I got!"
"I'm a fanatic for Grant Stones. The LEO Last is hands down the best fit for me and the comfort is second to none. I have a total of 8 pairs of Grant stone and will keep buying if their QC continues to be top tier. Keep it up GS!"
"What an EXPERIENCE. The unboxing? Premium. The boot? Jaw dropping. The comfort? Maximum. My first purchase from the brand, a pair of Saddle Tan Field boots, and I am hooked, pictures will never do these work of arts justice. These have earned a for life customer, and I am stopped at least twice a day and asked about them. Best of all, they may have leather insoles, but it feels like memory foam. So obviously Grant Stone has a couple wizards in the factory to help with the process. Stop thinking about it, grow a pair and get a pair."
"I have avoided leaving this review, but I keep receiving emails about my experience. I did a lot of research before I ordered these boots. Unfortunately, I chose this company, even after saying I was going to buy a total USA product. My fault, I suppose, since I did all the in depth research on the internet. I like, no, I love my boots. My wife thinks that I'm crazy, because I rarely wear anything but boots. I have multiple pairs of Zamberlan, Blundstone, Lucchese, Heritage Boot Company, Tony Lama, Merrell, Magnanni, Cole Haan, Wolverine, Chippewa and the list goes on. I pay good money and I expect a good boot in return. I take pride in ownership and baby each and every pair. I have a pair of Boa cowboy boots, that I still wear, that I bought in 2003. The same goes for a pair of ostrich skin boots that I bought in 2004. I have had these boots, Diesel Boot Navy Chromexcel - 9.5 / D, on my feet several times. There is something not right about the left boot. It made a terrible blister on my left heel, after I wore it for a couple of hours. My left foot is ever so slightly smaller than my right foot, so I know for a fact that there is an issue in the building process of the boot. I have had them for a over a month, and I try to wear them every couple of days, to no avail. I've worn Zamberlan and Blundstone straight out of the box for 10 hours or more, on the first day, and I've never had this problem. I walk a lot too. I'm a retired UPS delivery driver, just recently. I am very disappointed and unhappy with myself for choosing Grant Stone. There are better choices out there for this kind of boot. Needless to say, but I will not own another pair."
"Grant Stone is a top-notch company. I ordered B-Grades from their website at a reasonable price, and they look like an A-Grade product. I originally ordered a size too large, but I reached out and Josh helped me return my order and recommended a size based on his experience. My shoes fit like a dream and are very comfortable after being broken in. All that on top of pairing well with casual and dress outfits, so I can wear them in any situation. Furthermore, they also send you a bottle opener/mini shoehorn, which I now take with me when travelling."
