I chose the crochet style and was pleased she offers full service i.e. wash and style, because other places I have gone I would have to prewash my own hair. My hair looks great and there is no tension in my braids which I love. "I visited Ms. Bea for a 1st time appointment and left feeling very cared for! As someone who can get overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the salon at times — and am shy about the current state of my hair — I appreciated the calming atmosphere of the salon. It’s clear Ms. Bea is very knowledgeable about hair/products/scalp health, something very important to me as I’m learning to prioritize health over style. She was so patient with me and all my questions and gave solid answers. She also recommended a dermatologist to evaluate my scalp to make sure she could continue to provide services best for my scalp’s needs. I have some damage but she didn’t push me to cut or style my hair in a way I wasn’t ready for. We decided to go with flat twists and they are so cute! No tension at all. She really wants to help take care of your hair while also doing what’s most comfortable for you. I enjoyed the entire experience and the conversation with Ms. Bea. "Came in for wash, blow dry, and trim. She did not disappoint. First of all the vibes are calm and cozy when you walk in. Dim lights and music as she begins. Great conversation. When she detangled my hair, she was SO gentle. That was important to me because the last stylist I saw would comb through so roughly, I would be in tears. She respected my wish to use only gel/mouse and surprisingly uses the same brand shampoo and conditioner I use (very high quality). Very satisfied with my visit and think my hair will flourish under her care, as she prioritizes healthy hair and a clean scalp which should always be our goal."
