"Im re-submitting this review because the previous review I did with photos of my nails is not on here. Unfortunately I no longer have the photos. I last went here in September 2023 and posted a review I love being able to walk to the nail salon from my house but unfortunately after the experience I had I will not be coming back. I was the only one in and felt rushed without receiving a quality manicure. When attending to my cuticles Helen cut me too close and made me bleed. Then when putting on polish there were several pieces of my skin and dust that made the nail itself not smooth and were stuck under the polish. After seeing 4 of my nails with this, I pointed it out and instead of polishing it and redoing the nail she simply added another coat. I pointed out that this didn’t solve the issue and requested she re do the nail itself. I gave up and went home with bumps in my nails. To make it worse, within 2 days my nails started to peel and I had to go back in. I received the same lack of care and detail and left again with bumps on my nails."
"Update; I recently visited this location on December 30th for the 2nd time. It is such a beautiful facility. However, I was very disappointed with the services rendered. I took my cousin along to celebrate her special milestone. Unfortunately, Edison was no longer there. The gentleman who serviced my pedicure was very inexperienced. One of the main things I look to have done is my cuticles trimmed, underneath nails cleaned, and dead skin removed from feet. They are so quick to upgrade and make more money than they are to provide quality services. He went straight to a drill to remove my cuticles. which I objected to. unfortunately, his understanding of how to use the cuticle trimmer was an epic fail. I had to request to have under my toenails cleaned, which he barely did. I still had dead skin, which you could literally peel off. He was gonna leave some caped up lotion on my legs before I asked gor a hot towel to remove. He spent literally over 1.25 hours, which was a very poor experience. I had to have someone else do my nails, which was a poor job as well. Unfortunately, my fuest didn't receive wuality services as well. Her nail chipped within a couple of hours. Although they did repair....several chipped again within a week. This place is very expensive, which I wouldn't mind paying if I receive quality service. Unfortunately, I will not return to this location in Grosse Pointe. They need to get it together, or they will not last long at all."
"Mostly clean, mostly attentive. I love my dip mani, but my pedi was rushed and not very relaxing and my nails are sharp. Definitely my next try after Organic Nails screwed up their new management."
"The convenience of having a nail salon walking distance from my house is nice, but I was not satisfied with my experience here. I had similar issues when this location was a different nail salon and was hoping this time around would be better. Unfortunately, it was worse. I brought my daughter here and asked for two classic manicures but the nail tech gave me gel. Then I told her I wanted round and she gave me square. It was my daughter's first manicure and she accidentally bumped her thumb, messing up the polish. The nail tech just put a new layer over it rather than smoothing it out to make it look nice. We were the only customers in there, but I felt like she rushed us through. It was also freezing cold in the building, making the whole experience physically uncomfortable. As we were leaving I noticed the tips of some of my nails were rough and jagged. To make matters worse, my shellac chipped the very next day. Definitely not worth the money and won't be going back."
"I visited for a pedicure and was very happy with the service I received as well as the overall atmosphere of the space. The white walls and surfaces and light filled space were calming and serene, a welcome contrast to other nail spas that seem to be overwhelming and distracting visually. I got the basic "spa" pedicure for $35 and used the Val Pak coupon for $5 off any pedicure (valid through 10/15). David did my pedicure and was friendly and did a great job."
