DBW SPA SUITES

"Soooo a few things first, this is NOT a traditional relaxing spa where there’s like a entry fee and you go about your business, no it’s VERY timed and scheduled down to the times you can leave your dressing room suite but I can say my girl enjoyed every single part of this experience, we had the private chef the steak and garlic potatoes was my favorite part. I could say they could improve their booking site but overall 10/10 from us."

"I want to start with the staff are the NICEST people so this is not a refelction of their customwr service or kindness. If you are looking for a budget spa I suppose this would work. My favorite part was the blow up hot tub and the sauna. I have had over a dozen spa experiences and this was not even close. To start the entrance to the building is scary looking and the stairs are horribly painted and you have to ring a doorbell to get into the spa. First impressions were not great. So when you walk in it is obvious that this used to be a part of the grantie warehouse on the 1st floor. The flooring is samples of granite and stone with numbers on them. Which I guess use what ya got. There is no where to sit but an outdoor bench that is hard and cold. So when we went back to our suite it was sad. The suite across from us looked nice it was a Egyptian suite and we had the royal suite or so I was told upon booking. It was pink with chairs that were dirty and falling a part. The food was mediocre. I didn't expect a 5 star meal but undercooked wings and plain meatballs with Hawain rolls was not what I was thinking. The mimosas and fruit were good. But it would be pretty tragic to mess that up oh and the cookies were good! Okay so now we go to the hot tub waiting area with a sauna. To say the decor is weird is an understatement. Mushrooms and beach decor with lions but hey whatever. The hot tub was one of those blow up spas but that was fine it works and was the most relaxing acitivy. The sauna was also great but only big enough for two. Maybe three if everyone is skinny. Okay now onto the facial. You go back out into the original waiting room where your veiw is of the 8 lane traffic and that's all you can hear as well. I have had many facials and this felt hap hazard and thrown together. Upon booking I was told a pore cleansing facial. But no extractions were done which is almost okay with me because I am unsure the type of products they used. The facial beds were horribly uncomfortable. Now the massage. The beds were covered in the paper that is used at drs offices which was strange but okay hygienic whatever. So we go to lay on the bed and the paper is also on the face part which was very uncomfortable and the face rest was not attached and made your head at an angle the entire time which was also awful. The beds had no or just a sheet laid across them which was also not what I am used to. And then to top it off you are exposed with no blanket to keep you warm the entire time. Which is not what I'm used to at all. I am used to cushioned bedding with sheets and a blanket to keep you warm and relaxed and then they only uncover what they are massaging. Which again I have been to over 2 dozen spas and this is common among all of them. Okay the worst part is the person massaging you was wearing plastic gloves the whole time which is so uncomfortable. It causes horrible friction on your skin no matter how much oil you put on. I am almost 100% certain they are not trained or they got bad training. It was more of a let me just rub oil on you than a massage. It again was very haphazard and made no sense. Again the staff are SO KIND so please understand that aspect. I don't think I have encountered kinder staff. They are only as good as the tools they are given. I would not return as when I got to a spa I need all the amenities of luxury. But if you just want a fun girls day/night on a budget then this would do."
