"I was given a gift card to receive an Olaplex treatment at this salon. I made an appointment for the treatment after being assured that this is a service that they provide. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated in a very uncomfortable and uncaring manner. The stylist (Josephine) informed me that the treatment is only effective if done in conjunction with a color treatment (which I did not schedule or need) she insisted that a different treatment would be more effective and that I would be wasting my money on the scheduled treatment. (A treatment that I had verified with the staff before scheduling) . Josephine was very insistent that I use a different treatment. I asked her if the treatment she proposed was "Curl Friendly" and without sulfates or silicones. I asked if I could see the ingredients, she said that they were not listed on the bottle and she couldn't access "the box" but assured me that the product did not have sulfates or silicones. She either did not know or she (to put it kindly misrepresented) but this was NOT the case. I was treated in a very uncaring manner, from a COLD shampoo (I understand the cold rinse BUT a cold shampoo?) to using a vigorous scrubbing motion on the ENDS of my hair??? and no relaxing scalp massage and indicating I sit on a dirty cushion . When I asked isn't this cushion dirty? she said "don't sit on it if you don't want to. " I received a text ( from my daughter) informing me that the treatment was all wrong and so Josephine said she would rinse it out and give me the scheduled Olaplex treatment. After rinsing she said she wasn't comfortable doing one treatment after the other and just left me like that . I was astounded--I asked her You mean we are done? She said YES- no charge Kelly will escort you to the front desk. I asked You are not even taking out all these tangles? (scrubbing my ends -which she had said was to penetrate the treatment into my hair--aargh) had caused bad tangles in my fine curls :( Josephine said "Well you didn't want me to use a comb or brush ! --I replied yes I had said curl friendly is to finger comb when conditioner is on. She said "I'm done, I already spent enough time " She didn't even offer me a towel until I was standing at the front desk dripping on my coat while (quietly and respectfully ) telling the manager what had happened.Thru the whole process, I was kind and respectful and never caused a scene. Poor Kelly looked at a total loss and I assured her -I just need to talk to a manager, I can find my way. I was actually in tears as I explained the treatment I had received. TO add to the disappointment in this whole situation, the $125.00 gift card had been given to me by my well intentioned, out of state, sister so that I would take some time "to spoil myself" after having cared for our dear Dad, recently lost. I requested a refund of the gift card as I do not wish to set foot in this "Salon and Day Spa" again but was informed that is not and option. At my request, the manager talked to the owner (Marcel) and was told NO refund . I will use the card to buy $125. worth of products :( as I do not want to put myself in their hands again...ever. Needless to say , this was anything but a spa experience. I had to go home and start over using "Curl Friendly" products to try and reverse the abusive treatment to my fine curls and remove all the tangles. SIX days later and I am still, not back to where I HAD been with the condition of my hair."
"I typically go here once or twice a year for the hour massage. It's so peaceful, warm, and soothing there. The staff are calm and friendly. I took my mom for mother's day last year and she was nervous about getting a massage because she gets claustrophobic. They were very gentle with her and made sure her experience wasn't a traumatic one. I recommend this place to friends all the time!"
"My friend and I decided randomly to get hair cuts. After calling about 10 different salons in the area, Michele’s was the only one available to fit us in so soon. The ladies there are really friendly and inviting. Alma helped save my poor dead hair. After years of torture with bleach, I couldn’t brush it without half of it falling out! I decided to cut it short and grow my natural hair out, which was a terrifying choice for someone who has always had pretty long hair. Alma made it fun and relaxed and made my first short hairstyle look INCREDIBLE. She was very informative and gave me a free sample of a product that will help my hair return back to a healthy state. Really, never have I ever been so happy with my hair before. It looks and feels a million times better. Wish I could thank her more! Definitely will be going back!!"
"I love Michele's Salon and Day Spa! I have had multiple facials over the last few years and they have all been amazing, you know they are good when you get so comfortable that you almost fall asleep! I also get gel polish regularly and I have never been disappointed. Rose is a miracle worker on my nails. I am extremely rough with my hands (I garden a lot) and Rose helps me keep healthy nails."
"Extremely disappointing. Just went for my birthday with my mom and both got the sampler package. The massage was sub par, facial was good. The lady doing the pedicure seems liked she had better things she should be doing, and my toes definitely show that. When she found out I had gel on my hands, she about flipped out. Then during my manicure, it seemed like she had never done gel before. And when I pointed out that she missed some spots, she seemed it was the biggest hassle. Not to mention, a gel manicure was $57. BIGGEST RIP OFF NEVER"
