Unfortunately, the majority of the stores carry standard tourist fare: fake Indian souvenirs, stupid t-shirts and everything else you find in a tourist place. Lilacs and Lace holds all kinds of wonderful treasures. There are authentic Italian cameos, Anne of Green Gables merchandise, and estate jewelry. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to Mackinac, I buy my wife something from Lilacs and Lace. The owner, Jack, is a super-cool guy and very helpful."
