"I couldn't find the place because the name was changed! I had talked to owner(tattoo artist) several times that day before my appointment. He NEVER mentioned the named on the building wasn't "Ru The Tattoo King"! You would think he would let me know that! When I did arrive and he let me in the place REEKED of marijuana! No customers just him! This should have been my sign to turn around and go but I stayed. My daughter and I got a matching faith hope and love tattoo. She went first. He shaved her and sprayed some stuff so that the outline would stick to her arm. He didn't even thoroughly clean the area. Next was me... I got distracted talking to my daughter. Then back to the tattoo guy. Two things didn't happen.. (1) he didn't shave me. I really don't have hair on my arms but a good tattoo artist will still have shaved me and (2) he didn't change needles. Yes you read right! The needle(I'm not sure that's what they are called) that he used to tattoo my daughter with he used also on me! That's a NO! NO! My daughter is 16. This was her first tattoo and what she wanted for her birthday. So I wasn't gonna make a scene. This guy is a basement tattoo artist. He has another name he's using as well. He's off 7 mile and gratiot. He's also listed at 8 Mile."
