"First time here; came for the walleye fish fry & we were so glad we did. Cute little place (around 10 tables) with a cozy supper-club like ambiance (loved the candles at each table). Highly suggest making a reservation due to their capacity & at 6:30 on a Friday night this place was hoppin’! Very attentive wait staff and not a very long wait for food. Nice variety of drinks and cocktails. They’re French fries - OH MY GOSH….best ever. The seasoning on them is fantastic; we were immediately obsessed with them. Highly recommend; we wouldn’t hesitate to go back again!"
"Highly recommend. This restaurant was clean, had local decor, nice staff and excellent food. Lake perch was really tasty!"
"Now THIS is what I’m looking for when it comes to an up north bar and restaurant. My wife and I stopped off here after hiking along Superior, which was perfect since we were wanting a spot for satiating our thirst and hunger big time for real. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was incredibly kind and helpful. He recommended a number of things, including the IPA on tap I got and several apps we also ordered. The bar and dining area are all together in typical up north fashion. There are pool tables and darts and clean restrooms and badass taxidermy all throughout. Great spot to pig out and get some dranks."
"Good service, clean and good food. The prices were quite high in my opinion. Seems like $5 was added to each item. (A club sandwich and fries for $17, Really?!?) There was a cash price and a cc price on the menu (The on-site ATM had a $3 surcharge). The bill was confusing, I paid cash and asked for a Veteran discount. I don't know which price I paid (cash or cc $) and I didn't notice the Veteran discount. I feel that we paid way more for our food than we should have ($50 for one appetizer, water and three meals!?!). Oh well, I should've asked before I left. No worries, I get it...."
"First place we stopped to try pasties for the first time. We ordered one chicken and one beef, they both came with different gravy and a cup of coleslaw. I think they were kind of overpriced for what we got, they were about $12-$15 each. They were pretty good and our waitress was nice. Love the cute bear and chicken design on them!"
