"We loved this place!! The tour is totally worth it and such a great experience. Terrific beer (brought home the porter and the hazy and wish we bought more!!) Owners are the absolute best: giving of their time, so friendly and the place- beautiful patio and view and all the rooms inside- is a labor of love for them. A gem of a brewery and we'll definitely come back- thanks for the great time!!"

"I’m a student of breweries. In my years of study the Rusty Rocket stands out as unique in all the right ways. Hard to find, appointments only, great beer crafted in small batches, primarily for the fun of it. The owners were even nicer than the beer (which is saying a bunch). A lovely location on a secluded lake added to a wonderful “Pullman Hearted” lower alcohol version of Bell’s Two Hearted. I also was treated to a taste of several beers on tap. The porter might have been among the best I’ve had. Hands down my favorite, quirky, fun brewery experience in memory."

"Along the eastern shores of Upper Scott Lakes lies a long ago retired YMCA camp. Camp Channing has been reincarnated to Rusty Rocket, a brewery, event venue and community passion project from owners Tim and Lisa. The results of their intense efforts is nothing short of astounding. From the delicious, locally sourced malt and hops for the craft beers that Tim creates on site. To the incredibly scenic location and bespoke renovations they have made that have transformed the camp lodge into a premier wedding venue and beer bar. Oh did I mention they have suites and sleeping quarters on site for the wedding parties. Tim and Lisa have also set up an incredible program to give profits back to their beloved community of Pullman. They are even distributing their beer locally, which can be found on tap at places like The Pullman Tavern. As they graciously gave us a tour of the property and highlighted the improvements they made, you could sense how much they care about being terrific hosts and giving back to the community they love. I highly recommend you check out Rusty Rocket and try a Big Boy Brown, Hoppertown or Worth the Wheat when you visit. Sit outside on the dock or at the bar and contemplate what it means to be part of a community. Pullman and Michigan is lucky to have this wonderful couple, cheers!"
