"This was our last stop today as we meandered through some of Michigan's wine country. Veteran owned business! Sampled some meads, met the owner and had some good conversation, and then did a little axe throwing (a first for us). Great place to stop and Dave (the owner) is a great axe throwing instructor. "Back in 2019, I was searching for a traditional mead as a gift to my bride's father. Since he is a Norwegian-American, I wanted to honor an old tradition of getting the father-in-law drunk for the honeymoon. However, it can be very hard to find a traditional non-flavored mead these days, let a lone a good one. After visiting the Great Mead Hall and tasting their mead, I knew right away that their mead was exactly what I was looking for. I bought a 12-pack crate of their traditional mead (Odrerir), and my father-in-law loved it! I'll add that their flavored meads are also fantastic. I tried several during my visit, and I plan to buy some on my next trip to Bangor."
