"Little Girls' and Doll Collectors' Dream! I found this boutique on the Shipshewana website, and it was the highlight of our trip! As a mother to 2 girls ages 7 & 9, this was an absolute priority on our recent trip to the area. It is a charming little shop a few doors down from the Davis Mercantile building. There are many beautiful pre-made dolls to choose from, but the best experience is building the collector's item from head to toe! You choose the face, eye color, hair color & style, and outfit. They show you how it will look before everything is pieced together, and upon your approval, they teach you to stuff your own daughter (or son!) and you create her with your own loving hands. The average completed doll & outfit was $100, but we added extra outfits (some are handmade onsite) to compliment the experience. Most dolls are Adora, but they have several other designer brands as well. We spent approximately 2 hours onsite mainly because my 7 yr old had a difficult time selecting her new daughter's face. The boutique owner and assistants were all wonderful and patient with our children, and added to the experience! You take home a birth certificate so you have time to choose a name without pressure, and the dolls are so realistic that you will likely be complimented the entire remainder of your trip!"
