"Disrespectful, condescending staff. We ordered a beverage and paid, only to find out it would take 30-60 minutes for the drink to be ready. We requested our money back. We were told they could not “refund” our money and that could have a small ice cream instead. I did not want the small ice cream, but accepted this because it was either that or lose my money. I do not think it was fair that my option was to lose my money or pay for an item I did not want. After accepting the ice cream, I found a sandy brown hair in the ice cream, that I had to pull out of the center of the dish. I returned to the store to share what I found and said that I didn’t want a refund, because I knew they wouldn’t issue one anyways, but wanted the young ladies working the shop to be aware so that they didn’t get their hair in others guests’ food. The one staff member proceeded to argue with me about what a refund means and spoke with me in a very condescending tone as she still did not seem to see the issue with taking my money and not proving me with the item I wanted and insisting I take an item I did not want. She was unapologetic about the entire situation, both about her hair in my ice cream and taking my money for nothing. I implore the owner of the this chain of shops to address customer service standards and provide additional training for employees. The way in which this employee spoke to me was unacceptable and needs to be addressed."
