"I had to write this review. I travel a lot for work and hadn't been in for a touch up in awhile. I booked my appointment while at work. Came back in town, checked in with the husband and kids and found out that the kids got out early the next day. He told me he needed me to cancel the appointment to pick up the kids. They come first so... Trying to value the salons time, I went on the website immediately to see if I could reschedule, I could not. So I set my alarm for 9am when they open, to let them know as soon as I possibly could. Jet lagged from work, soon as my alarm woke me up, I called. The receptionist said it was too late to cancel. There would be a 45 dollar fee. Ok, I asked to speak to the manager and explained the situation. She said "we get these calls all day and I can't do it for you". I've been going to them for a little over a year now and I think collectively I've spent close to 1,000 on my hair in that time. So clearly, I’m worth more than 45 dollars. The last time I was there, she asked me to write a review for Studio Lush. I could've wrote, they're great and left it at that or said I'd do it and not do it. Instead I took 3 pictures at 3 different angles and remarked on everything I could think I noticed while I'd been going there. Hoping my review got them more business. I didn't realize where she asked me to post would put my first and last name out there but I left it. It got over 2,000 views. I'm not into social media the way that a lot of people are. I am private but I wanted to help. I really thought she had asked me to post it there specifically as a favor. I don't care or need to have pictures of me that aren't for friends and family only. I mentioned this to her thinking that hopefully out of the number of people that saw that post, if one of them went in, she for sure got more than 45 dollars in business from it. She then says, “Well… Did you lie???” And that I'm trying to manipulate her. Wow. What???? That's a first for me. As someone who works in customer service, I've been recognized many times for my kindness and going over and beyond for our customers. I would NEVER talk to a customer like this and to truly be honest, I don’t talk to ANYONE like this. I'm surrounded by business owners, my husband and friends own businesses. I told my husband and he could not believe a business owner talked to customers that way. They do a good job. I will not take that from them. I was very supportive of the owner on social media because I know it's not easy to run a business. I was happy for her and proud of her when she shared milestones without knowing her that well. It really was hurtful to be talked to in the manor she did. I'm still shocked writing this. Also, looking at the other reviews, she expects you to be understanding when she can’t make it. I wish Dani, my stylist the best but I cannot tell anyone to drop 400 dollars, more or less, for this treatment. It's not what you say so much as how you say it. Spend your hard earned money where you are treated like your business is valued."

"My first time going was yesterday on Thanksgiving day and I loved, LOVED my experience with Symone! She’s very talented and her work is phenomenal. She has such a kind hearted spirit. I’m extremely happy and pleased with my results! The salon and environment is amazingly clean and efficient. All of the other hair artists were nice and greeted me when I came in. After searching two years for a stylist, I can finally say I found my new hair expert. I will be returning! Thank you AISHA A."

"I've been going to Studio Lush for over a year now, and I can truly say this is the best salon I've ever experienced. Firstly, I have to mention the environment. It's extremely warm and inviting, and everyone is very kind. I've never felt uncomfortable here, and I have a lot of anxiety surrounding my hair. They also play great music! Now, onto the actual service. I've been seeing Danni since I started going here. She is truly amazing. I'm biracial and have always had trouble finding stylist who can work with my hair texture (somewhere between 3B and 3C). I've had many experiences leaving salons crying. The first time she did my hair (it was the Lush start package that included a steam treatment, trim and silk out), I cried when I got home, but they were happy tears! I couldn't believe how good it looked. Since then, I've returned every 2-3 months or so to get a steam treament/silk out and trim. She's also done color on me, which was amazing! I will never stop going here as long as it's open. I've never had a better experience at a salon."
