Nordstrom Rack

"I was unaware of the "club' for points when shopping at this location. The cashier did not ask if I wanted to join. Later that week, we shopped at the Troy location. We made another purchase and joined. When I contacted Nordstrom to get credit for the previous purchase (made less than a week prior), I was told that it wasn't possible. Makes me much less likely to shop there again when their employees don't offer me a benefit in a timely fashion, then make it less valuable when it is offered."

"The very few times I'm on vacation in the States I try to visit this store because of their good deals. Today I was really looking forward to finding shoes and sneakers. I found a pair of Dr Scholl's gray boots, I tried them on and fitted perfectly. It found a good deal on 2 other pairs of sneakers and went to the register. There, an associate started to scan the boots and she wouldn't say anything, instead she just started to move back and forward to another register while trying to remove the price tag, which btw took her more than 5 minutes because it was so well stucked that she couldn't remove it completely without breaking it. She then told me that the price was not right and that it was a different size because some other client placed the tag. I told her that it seemed really weird since it was so well glued, and she wouldn't offer me any other options but kept on showing me the price on the register and repeating the number (which was not a good deal anymore) while asking me if I wanted them or not. I said no and paid for the sneakers. At some point another associate came to the cashier next to ours and started to serve another customer. I thought about asking the name of my cashier but since her English was very difficult to understand I didn't do it. Instead, I spoke to the other associate (who evidently was aware of the whole situation) and told her that It was really uncomfortable to find that the prices were wrong and it was not my fault (even though they kinda make you feel like it was). The lady said completely indifferent: “Do you know how many times a day I hear that?” I was shocked, I only managed to say that it would be better if they'd said that to the manager. I mean like really?? I'm terrible at making decisions and spent some time trying to find the real deal, finally I made a choice just to find out that a perfectly glued price tag was not the right one and I could have got another different pair. I can understand an error, but I expected an apology, another option or at least some empathy and a different attitude from TWO associates who are almost the last persons in the value chain… at least that would have happened in any store similar to this one in México."

"This used to be a GREAT STORE. Now there are practically no men's suits or over size 14 shoes. I am a tall man. Several years ago I encouraged an OffRack buyer to set limits on how many pairs of size 15+shoes a customer could be buy in a week, to have inventory for others who need this size. This store is not really worth the trip anymore. I rather use Men's Wearhouse."
