"A salon owned by one of the most talented, capable operators in Door Cty. Rachel has been my beautician for 15 years"
"Wanted to get our almost 3-year-olds' first haircut where her Grandma could watch, and Invidia staff did an amazing job at not only giving a great haircut but also providing us a super 1st haircut experience! Thanks so much ❤️"
"Ask for Marley if you want your concept for an alternative haircut finally done right! I’ve always cut my own hair (poorly) because i like a shaggy look, and most stylists in the past have not understood my vision. Marley perfectly understood what i was looking for, cut away the terrible dead ends in the back, and made everything flow together perfectly. Thank you!"
"-Did this company show up and do hair like they were supposed to? Yes, and we were happy enough with the visual end result. -Was this a pleasant process and would we recommend them to other people planning a wedding in the future? No, we would not, due to the fact that it was the owner that made the experience so uncomfortable and stressful. She is NOT professional. We hired Invidia for hair for my wedding in August this year and chose to go with a different vendor for make-up (no reason other than we found a make up lady we liked first). The owner of the salon, Rachel, is who I am referring to in my review, not the lady she had come and assist her (I had 4 bridesmaids and a mother-in-law). Even the process of her doing my hair was stressful… Here is a free HELPFUL TIP for this place and anyone else: don’t say “I don’t know what I’m doing” and other variations of that statement multiple multiple MULTIPLE times while taking a long time to do the bride’s hair. Also, don’t make passive aggressive / snarky comments towards other vendors you are sharing a room with. It took the salon owner closer to 2 hours to put my slightly longer than shoulder length hair into a low bun. I had confidence in her skills because of the pictures she posts online of her work and the many pictures she took of my hair at the trial to ensure she would remember what to do 1 month later. On the day of my wedding, she would get about ¾ of the way done with my hair before exclaiming “I don’t know what I’m doing!! How am I supposed to do this!?…”. All but 1 of my bridesmaids were getting twists, weaves, etc., I was watching them all get started and finished while I sat through this woman’s weird (and long) cycle of doing my hair, exclaiming she doesn’t know what she’s doing, and then un-do 7/8 of it, just to repeat, in hopes of being able to make a low bun. If a low bun is so difficult, she should have had her help do it. In addition to the cycle of exclaiming lack of competence she would make passive aggressive comments towards the woman we hired to do make-up. It was clear, through the passive aggressive and snarky comments, that the hairdresser was not pleased with our decision to only hire her for hair. The room was awkward enough that a different vendor finally asked “what was that all about?” after the hairdresser and her help was done and had left the room. We apologized multiple times to the woman doing our make-up because there was no need for the hairdresser to be so rude. Did our hair get finished and did it stay up? Yes. But the process was so unprofessional that I would not recommend them to anyone planning their wedding."
"The talent of the stylist in this salon is being hamstrung by the unprofessional front end receptionist/scheduler. Rachel is AWESOME - she's a lovely person and a talented stylist. HOWEVER, she needs new front-end help. I made an appointment on April 6th - for a cut and highlight on July 8th. Yes, three months in advance (tourist/wedding season, I get it). On May 14th, I called to see if I could move the July appointment to a weekend - any weekend - in July ... "no, she's booked into October" - no problem, I knew she was busy, and I told the receptionist/scheduler to leave the appointment alone, I'd take the time off of work because as I said, I get it, tourist/wedding season - and I'd take anything I could get. It's July 8th - I walk in at 8:55AM (my appointment time was 9AM) - and receptionist /scheduler is on the phone ... and on the phone... and on the phone. Not the shop phone, her personal phone talking about how she should have invested money she'd made on a real estate deal (she was on the phone a LONG time)... yadda yadda ... then, after heading on to five minutes, she says, "hang on, there's a lady standing here" ... I told her I was there for the 9 o'clock. "I don't see you on the calendar"... I know you're on my call list, but you're not on the calendar today ... " "When am I on the calendar, I took the day off of work for this?" "... uh.... hang on," (clicks mouse a few times... ) "....uh..... "(clicks a few more times) "I'm not seeing you at all." oOO(then how am I on your call list?) In summary, I made the appointment, asked two weeks later to change if possible - it wasn't possible so the appointment was left. Inept receptionist/scheduler decided to cancel anyway... so thanks. I'm happy that Rachel is so busy, she is very talented - but if she doesn't sort out the front end of her shop, she's going to be in a world of hurt."
