"We stayed at the standalone cabin that the Retreat also owns just a bit further north on M183. Great value for money and centrally located to town. Garden is not a big town, but the quiet and access to the lake and State Park is great. Looking forward to staying at the retreat itself next time we are up north. Edit: Forgot to add that the check-in and out process was very efficient and Nicole was great!"

"Excellent place, to stay, especially for a women, that travels, alone. Code instead of key system, is wonderful. Friendly, staff, very clean, beautiful, walking trails in area, see wildlife daily. While packing car, doe and fawn, came thru the parking lot"

"I just needed a nice place to sleep while on a road trip. I was drawn in to the Garden Grove because of the price and was more than satisfied with what they offered. Private rooms with numerous common spaces. Secure and well supplied with what I needed for a pleasant stay. I wish I had more time to stay and relax. I look forward to staying there again sometime."

"Knowing it was a retreat center I was not disappointed. Loved the fact that I had my own bathroom. The staff was so pleasant and helpful. The seminar I attended was was very nice. The breakfast and lunch that was served buffet style was very good. Unfortuantely I did not have a chance to walk around the ground but it looked lovely."

"This hotel is a hidden gem. Also, a bit strange! Clean, quite, with walking trails thru a garden and cheep! Everything that we were looking for but no staff! the first time I've ever checked into a hotel without ever seeing a person at the desk. A great place to stay the night and a nice breakfast in the morning. Perfect."
