"I’ve had shawarma in several major cities, and I make it myself. This is some of the best I’ve ever had. Came in for a quick, healthy meal by myself after work and was blown away. The owner was kind and accommodating. I brought my friend with me the following night, and she had the same experience. I had the kofta kabob the second night, and it was also delicious. Service was top notch again."
"Looking for a place like home, with exceptional service, well-flavoured authentic food, and the friendliest staff? This place is worth visiting! We were treated by Zain, who politely poured our tea for us as it was too hot. Tip: Their sauces and rose tea compliment the rice platter well."
"Great food, great people. Mohammed and Zain do a fantastic job with the hospitality every time my Wife and I bring our Indy family here. We visit from Florida every year and make this an annual visit"
"Sahara Restaurant is surprisingly good! I'd recommend it to fans of Greek food. Food: The food is fresh and tasty! My wife and I have had hummus (which comes with pita), falafel sandwiches, and gyro sandwiches. The pita with the hummus is very fluffy and soft, while still a little crispy from being on the grill for a bit. The hummus had some fresh olive oil and a sprinkle of spices on top. This was also my first falafel sandwich, but not my first taste of falafel. Falafel is typically fairly band, but this had slightly more flavor than normal falafel, it was definitely the best falafel I have had, and it sandwich form, it was amazing. The gyro is on par with the best gyros I have ever had. I also had the first authentic baklava I have ever had at this restaurant, and it was an interesting and tasty dessert. Service: The service was very friendly and reasonably fast. Atmosphere: The store felt nice. It was a nice place for a date night with my wife, and the atmosphere did a good job at playing the part to set the mood to a relaxing evening."
"I came here with my family and I have nothing but good things to say about Sahara. Abu Hamza and his staff made the experience amazing. From the fresh tea at the start to the tabouli and falafel, everything we ordered was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fresh, authentic Mediterranean food!"
