"Was told today I needed emergency oral surgery because the infection in my tooth had traveled to my orbital area and it needed to be removed. My face is swollen. I get there fill out the paper work have my insurance ran and get brought back see the Dr. Get hooked up to laughing gas. At which point they decide it's a good time to come tell me I need to pay 800+ dollars before they can do the procedure. None of this was even mentioned in the hour n half we sat there before being seen. None of this was mentioned while filling out paper work. Call me crazy. But it feels super unethical to try collecting money when someone is hooked up to any sort of brain altering drug. But this is what you can expect from this place."

"Took my girlfriend here to have her wisdom teeth extracted. The consultation went fine but on the day of the appointment it was a different experience. For context she has ptsd from past experiences alot of nervousness and anxiety about IVs and being put under. When they called her back I asked if I could accompany her (like i did for the consultation)until she's sedated. They said no bluntly so away she went. I later learned my girlfriend asked on the way back if I could come back and was ignored. They asked something along the lines of what are your nervous? Should be a given at this point. This nurse was "filling in" apparently. At one point she said if I look lost it's because I am. Not very reassuring to a nervous patient. I asked if I could go back when they wake her up, again denied. They said they will have her walk up when done. When they were done, they brought her out of it and she had a panic attack asking for me and that she needed to hear my voice before she felt like she could leave. I don't know how long she was panicking but when they finally came to get me she was screaming at that point. They said 5 minutes and my girlfriend said it was much longer. They said she did great for the surgery and started panicking when she came too. I never got a good reason why I couldn't be in the room. There was plenty of space and chairs in the room. Once I got there after about 10 minutes she calmed enough that we were able to walk out. When a patient specifically says they have anxiety about a procedure and something as simple as having their significant other in the room would help I don't see why they couldn't accommodate that request. And when a patient is having a panic attack, telling them they can't yell really only makes it worse when a patient feels they aren't being heard or taken seriously."
