Dr. Bryan Sofen

"My husband and I found Dr. Sofin several years ago at his office in Clinton Township on Dacosta Rd. He helped us clear up a couple of our concerns and we grew to like and appreciate his style and care. When he moved to his own office in Southfield, we never considered looking for another dermatologist. We live near Lake St. Claire, but the drive to his new office in Southfield is more than worth the extra distance to us!. He is a wonderful doctor and feels like one of our family. He did a MOHS procedure to eliminate a small spot (which had become a larger concern without my being aware of it!) and has treated several other basal cell concerns, as well as a wart that hs been bothering my husband for several years! (Leave it to a guy to say, “It’ll probably go away on its own.” ) Two quick treatments from Dr. Sofin and I have no reason to nag him anymore (at least, not about the wart.) Despite being a great doc, his manner for treating patients - no matter how nervous or uninformed they may be - is gentle, patient and efficient. He never jumps to the most radical procedures and always tries the most painfree and effective treatment first. Dr. Sofin’s office staff is friendly and accommodating and more than helpful when it comes to making convenient appointments. Whether you have a disagreeable dark spot on your skin or are suspicious of something more serious, do yourself a favor, call Dr. Sofin. You’ll never look for another dermatologist."

"In today's medical marketplace it's unusual to find a doc who is personable, attentive to your needs and care and does not rush you through. That's why I was so pleased to find Dr Sofen. I scheduled an appointment with him based on his name. Years ago, I was treated by a wonderful dermatologist in Kalamazoo, Dr Morris Sofen, so I wanted to see if Dr Bryan Sofen was related. It turns out that he is the grandson of the Dr Sofen who had treated me many years ago. I must be getting old! He is much like his grandfather; knowledgeable and very patient focused. He is one of the few trained Mohs surgeons. I recommend him highly."

"Was able to be seen within only 2 days at the a Bloomfield Hills location after calling to make an appointment. Very nice receptionist. I was seen within 2 minutes of arriving. Very clean facility. The individual/med asst who took me back was ok but not super personable. Dr. Sofen was very friendly and quickly diagnosed my condition. The meds he recommended (sold in office, not covered by ins) were quite expensive., wasn’t expecting to pay $141 for sunscreen with moisturizer and skin lightening pads. The esthetician or another med assistant Gretchen was awesome and gave me detailed instructions on how to use the products. Only other gripe is that I have called multiple times during the day and no one answers. Their answering machine also doesn’t state their office hours. Not used to that."

"Dr. Sofen detected 2 spots of skin cancer on my dad and immediately removed them. One being so large that he needed to see a plastic surgeon which Dr. Sofen set up with Dr Zuliani (another fabulous dr). After seeing the wonderful care he gave to my dad, my husband and I now see Dr Sofen. He is very professional, kind, caring, I didn't feel rushed, his staff was very friendly and helpful as well. He and his staff do a great job at discovery/background, and you are never rushed along so he can get to the next patient. He explains procedures, and options well, as well as what to expect afterwards. I consider Dr Sofen a Trusted Friend, not just my Doctor."
