Reviews of WellPointe Sleep Diagnostic Center
"I've had quite a few sleep studies performed in my lifetime at multiple places, and I most say the staff here was by far some of the nicest and most helpful I've ever encountered! They went above and beyond when trying to help me jump through all the insurance hurdles. The room was nicely decorated and I felt as if I was staying in a nice hotel! The sleep technologist was very friendly and helped soothe my anxiety over having the test done. And of course the doctor is AMAZING! I actually followed her over to this lab from another because she's so great! She never rushes me through my appointments, does a good job at answering all of my questions, and I assure you she leaves no stone unturned. She makes me feel as if she truly cares about her patients, and that this isnt "just about the money" as many doctors make you feel these days. I've read some of the bad reviews about issues with the office scheduling multiple tests and as someone who has been dealing with apnea issues since I was a child, I can say it's a great thing that they go above and beyond to make sure they have a correct diagnosis. I've been to plenty of labs over the years that get you in and out quickly, only to find out later that my study wasn't of great quality and that they shouldn't have made a diagnosis based on the data they recieved. I honestly feel very fortunate that not only have a found a great sleep doctor, but that the clinic staff here is fantastic themselves! It's rare to find a total package these days in the medical world! Thank you guys for all of your help β€"
"The center was clean and staff very friendly. The sleep tech made me feel very comfortable and made me feel at ease because I was very nervous for sleep study. I would recommend this sleep center to others."
"I had a great experience with Wellpointe Sleep Center. I was notified in a timely email that I was eligible to order new supplies. I called and discussed the order with an extremely helpful Individual. The order was processed in a timely manner and I received the order just a few days later. It was a great experience dealing with Wellpointe!!"
"Impossible to get in touch with someone in the office, will schedule multiple appointments to get as much money as possible. Find somewhere else! Edited to add- Tim with WellPointe reached out to me the same day I did this review. Not only did he state he never received the two voicemails I left, he also looked up my name on Google and called my place of work and ask for me instead of responding to this review. I have never come across someone so unprofessional to reach out to the business I work for in regards to a personal issue. My experience is similar to the review below. My husband took an at home test with his doctor to be referred to WellPointe. Once he met with WellPointe, they stated he needed to take another at home test to confirm his severe sleep apnea and would then receive a CPAP machine through insurance. Once the results came back confirming the previous test results, they then said he needed to do an overnight test to be eligible for a CPAP through insurance as his apnea is so severe it required overnight adjustments. At the time it felt as if we were being strung along, however with my husband's condition and this center recommended by his doctor, we continued the process. His overnight sleep study consisted of trying on each mask and then sleeping the entire night wearing the same one. 5 months later we received a bill with $534 for the in home test and $2,081 for the overnight. Insurance covered the majority of the in home test, however we owe nearly $600 toward the overnight AND insurance did not cover his CPAP. Upon speaking with Tim, he stated the additional test was due to needing to adjust the pressure of the air throughout the night and required more staffing. He repeatedly told me I clearly did not understand the process, I did not have accurate information and I was trying to get out of paying my bill. Needless to say, I would recommend choosing a center that provides accurate information up front with transparent and timely billing- this is not that center. Tim's last comment to me was he would be calling our doctor to let them know I did a review on him and that I was the type of person who left bad reviews on businesses. I made the mistake of not checking the reviews (1.5 on both Google and Yelp) and hope this will help someone make a better choice than we did."
"Avoid, or at least read this so you know what you'll be getting yourself into. Based on my experience of an in-home sleep study: 1. They will try to get you to sign an exclusivity agreement with one of their CPAP machine providers on your first visit, this is before any testing so I do not see how they know such a machine might actually be of benefit to you. 2. They will bill you for any test results that come back "inconclusive" and have you take the test again 3. When you retake the test you will get billed again. 4. If the test comes back "normal" they will still recommend that you retake it or come in for an in-lab sleep test (which are considerably more expensive based on my quick google research). I complained, spoke with Tim, who was nice enough but made no attempt at reconciliation where it hurt, which was the expensive bill. On a positive note, everyone was nice and respectful and I didn't have to wait during pick-up and drop-off of the machine like other reviewers."
