"Highly recommended! Family and I have been seeing Dr. Donald Cucchi for over 20 years. He is, by far, better than many doctors and/or clinics in the Macomb area. He is concerned about your issues, listens to your symptoms, diagnosis properly and prescribes effective treatment. For example, I get sinus infections that he has tackled for years, as HE IS THE ONLY DO that resolves the issue quickly, per his prescribed treatment! If required, he will also direct your follow up recheck treatment schedule, so that he and you know the issue is resolved and does not linger. By the way, I prefer old school, as it works! Also, it is very convenient, for me, that doctor does not require scheduling an appointment when you have symptoms, and may walk in any time that I feel I require something to be addressed. There is typically a very short waiting time, unless the office is packed."
"My husband really likes Dr. Cucchi because he is close to our house and most time there is no wait. The one time I went with my husband because we were both sick at the same time Dr. Cucchi didn't talk to me about my illness he talked to my husband about me in front of me. Dr. Cucchi would ask my husband a question about me and I would answer (because I know the answer and I was in the room); then I would got a dirty look from the Doctor for answering the question that regarded me not my husband. Also the way it works in my household is I am the one that pays the medical bills. So, at the end of the month when I can pay then. Dr. Cucchi office takes for every to cash the checks. I mailed them a 2 checks going on 2 weeks ago and they still haven't been cashed. So, I called the office to ask them what was going on. All I got was what is the patients name and late me get back to you of when we cashed the checks. If you cashed the checks I would have known and wouldn't be calling the office. I do not think they are going to call me back and I do not think they realize that they are messing me up with my banking by not cashing their checks. It's not like a have extra time to go to their office and pay in person. I barely have time to go shopping for food. Yes he is old school and doesn't walk around with a computer or a tablet but I have been to those doctors and they are great. From my sons doctor to my two personal doctors. Even my dentist don't keep me waiting, spend time with us to listen and understand. The nurses and the office staff are not helpful plus rude at Dr. Cucchi. If your over the age of 45 Dr. Cucchi is the doctor for you because he will treat you well. If you are under that age group you are treated like a child and are not respect."
"DO NOT GO TO Dr. Cucchi Clinic. We were fully covered by our insurance and we were told that it will not cost us anything. Still they fed wrong data into system and charged us. I was given vitamin shots and at that time i clearly i asked them about those shots. They said we will not charge you for this vitamin shots. But still they charged me for that. I hate this clinic."
"I really like this doctors office - have been going there for years. Dr. Cucci is one of the only really good docs in the area. He is totally old school, doesn't walk around with an iPad and a pager - he actually looks you in the eye, talks to you about your symptoms and gives it to you straight. He doesn't keep you waiting forever like SO many other doctor offices. I really despise how so many new docs treat their patients, and how they himm and hawww about the millions of things that could be wrong with you. Love doctor C."
"I would give a lower rating if I could. I just got off the phone with the rudest and most unprofessional individual I have ever dealt with.I called my Blue Cross Provider and asked them for recommendations for a new Physician (as I moved and my Physician is much further away, and has only a small window of availability). They recommended this Physician as being in my network. I called them to schedule a new appointment in the morning, The young lady stated that even though my insurance claims that they are in my network, that doesn't necessarily mean that is true. She said she would call me back within a half of an hour after doing a double check. Not an issue, and she was perfectly friendly about it. 4 hours later (no call) I called back, and the gentleman that answered the call asked me why I wanted to see the Dr. I told him to make a new patient appointment and re-explained the situation (that the girl said she wanted to do a double check with my insurance). He stated, "well...it's your insurance. Don't you know anything about your insurance?" I took his rude comment in stride and told him, according to my insurance they are in network. (I used to work for a Dr.'s office, so I know how stressful it can be, and everyone has a bad day. But wait...it get's better!) Then he said, "Then let's make an appointment. I mean, what do you want from me?" He continued with his tone and stated that if it is out of network than I will just get a "lovely bill, I guess." I told him I did not want a bill, that there are in network providers and out of network providers, and that, according to Blue Cross he is IN my network, but according to the lady this morning, that may not be true. His response was, first to cackle, and then stated "well, then I guess you have all of the answers now don't you? If you have all of the answers than why don't you just tell me what to do?" I was not rude with this man, nor did I take any tone with him at all. I was quite professional. I am a business professional and I know how to conduct myself. Something this place of business needs a staunch lesson in. But at this point, I was through with being treated badly. I told him, this really isn't a good way to attract patients, and that I didn't have a tone with him and that I didn't deserve to be disrespected. That is when he told me "I don't really care. We don't want new patients here, to be quiet honest, so I don't care. I wish your provider wouldn't have told you we were accepting any because we are not. Besides, isn't your form of Blue Cross something they give college kids? I think I have seen it come through here once and it was on some college kid." Which is not true. Please look up Independence Blue Cross and you will find that this provider is widely used among several organizations and businesses. The company I work for is a leading international global manufacturing company. But even if I was a "college student", what makes this practice feel they are capable of talking down to POTENTIAL patients (forget how they must treat ACTUAL patients. He then went on to state that "we are doing just fine with the patients we have. My practice has been around for 24 years. I guarantee that is a lot longer than your little Independence Blue Cross has." Needless to say, I hung up on this man. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS OFFICE. STAY AWAY! I know I would never trust my health to someone that clearly doesn't care about people in general. End of Rant."
