Reviews of Dr. Brian N. Stirling, DO
"He did surgery on me years ago. Avoid him. I've talked to several just like me."
"Had a very positive experience with Dr Stirling and the staff with my vasectomy. The facilities are clean and comfortable, and everyone there is friendly and professional. The procedure itself was very streamlined and the team was comforting and gentle through the entire process. I also appreciated the levity that Dr Stirling and staff would pepper in during the process, which was definitely a breath of fresh air. Thanks team!"
"Everyone on staff was kind, concerned, listened to our concerns and questions and took time to make sure we understood. Came up with a game plan for the next 3 months. They even were able to get our perscriptions through the VA to us in 3 days. Wonderful experience."
"We just moved to the area and I found out shortly after we moved that I had kidney stones. The ER referred me to Dr. Stirling. I was terrified because I read the awful review someone else gave him on here. My experience was the complete opposite of that review. Dr. Stirling explained everything to me in detail and answered my NUMEROUS questions. He was very patient and as awful as kidney stones are, he helped me manage the pain and got them taken care of quickly. There was never a long wait at his office and he and his staff were extremely nice. I would highly recommend him. I wanted to write this review in case someone else reads that bad one and gets nervous like I was. Based on my experience, there’s no reason to be nervous and he was a great doctor."
"6mm kidney stone. This man prescribed nothing for my pain, which was absolutely horrific, until after my surgery. I had to go to the ER day before surgery because I was writhing in pain with nothing to manage it. He did not give a full description on the procedure he performed on me. Which I found out after surgery, from my husband. Because Doctor Stirling never stuck around long enough to even talk to me after surgery. He did say, before surgery, that the stent may be a little uncomfortable and after 24 hours could resume normal activity. I never even made it 24 hours and was already back in the ER with excruciating pain. Had surgery on a Friday, ER on Saturday, and unmanaged pain every minute from surgery to Monday's appointment. The doctor didn't even know that I was in the ER after surgery. He removed my stents as I was literally shaking in fear of the pain. No care instructions given. No information on what my stone was made of, what kind of stone, how to help prevent them, diet changes to help prevent them.......nothing. Just yanked my stent out and that was that. No care instructions at all. As my husband and I made the 20minute trip back home. Pain began to creep in. By the time we reached home, I was moaning in pain with every breath. Moaning turned into screaming. I screamed with every breath I took in pain, until I passed out. It was the worst care I have ever experienced. I have a follow up appointment that I scheduled with my primary doctor, to find out what happened to me and to get actual information on how to move forward with my care. I will never ever return to Dr. Stirling. I was neglected as a patient. Actually patient doctor contact, while being conscious, maybe 20 minutes.... through the entire event. I have a high tolerance to pain. Most people, who actually know me, have made remarks on how I'm one of the toughest people they have ever met. I don't think this, but a lot do. And I feel like I'm experiencing PTSD from this experience. I had no support, no pain management, poor quality of care. Was just a piece of paper, not a human being. I would have rather went to Mexico for the stone removal. At least then I would have had pain management. Very disappointed and hurt by this experience. It's uncalled for. I pleaded for help and was left with no tools to even help myself."
