"I had two appointments with counselor EM who was fine. Neither she nor the practice ever gave me contact information for her. No phone number or email. Very hard to get in contact with an actual person there let alone your counselor. At our last appointment she told me she was going to follow up with me about getting a permanent schedule set at which point I have been ghosted. Not a great feeling when you are obviously already struggling with something."

"My review is the same as the other parent. Maybe we had the same counselors? My 14 yo daughter saw Jules and Ashley. I initially chose Ashley because she’s younger and I thought that my daughter could connect with her. She gave no feedback that was helpful. We tried again with Jules. Jules works a very limited schedule “forgot” about our appointment then called off 2 more times. No offer to come in in her “off day”. She told my daughter who has periodic fights w her older brother that she could have CPS pull him from our home….really? Never really offered advice or helped to build coping skills. The last straw was our family session when she actually snickered at some of our issues….meaning she really couldn’t relate. No advice…we all, including my daughter felt that we were better before going to see Jules. I do take w a grain of salt things that my daughter has said Jules has said about me; but why would I pay to have someone undermine my parental authority? True waste=Shorepointe Counseling!"

"In my opinion not a good place for children or family therapy. My son now believes that he has rights that include not having to listen to his parents when he is angry at them, that he has every right to tell them to get outta his room and he can cover his ears if hes tired of hearing his parents. We didn't have that issue before we started family "therapy" at Shorepoint. I also found myself repeating what I already had stated the week before so I feel that the therapist wasn't actually listening to me. Also not a good location if you battle with alcohol addiction as it's connected to and shares a parking lot with a bar which makes the parking real fun on busy nights. While my son was in school our appointments were at 7 or 8 pm. Might be good for an adult but I've decided i will seek therapy for myself elsewhere after the bad taste Im left with in my mouth.
