"This organization has changed my son's life. Special needs parents, please read on. In the fall of 2020, I made the difficult decision to pull my autistic son from public school due to the pandemic. He would have been miserable in an online learning situation, so I was better off putting him in full time therapy and using tutoring to keep his academics from slipping. I came in with the expectation of maintaining the status-quo at best. It is now January, and my son is starting to read! Previously, he couldn't even sit still long enough to listen to me read him a book. He knew his letters and letter sounds, but he had no sight words--and no desire to learn them. I had no idea how to help him, and the only advice I was getting was to read to him. I felt like nobody understood my situation and that there wasn't anyone out there who could help us. What his tutor, Robin, is accomplishing is nothing short of a miracle. She figured out my son, and she's taught me how to work with him.
