"Update: Ellie Mental reached out to me shortly after my review and were more than helpful in resolving the issue. I will not be returning as a patient, but I appreciate their efforts. After several appointments, I received a ridiculously large bill. After investigation, I discovered it's because they don't accept Medicare, my secondary insurance. Except, they never told me they don't accept it, despite the fact that when they asked me for my insurance information, I included my Medicare information. Well, that seems like a good time for them to mention they don't accept Medicare. Why would I choose to go somewhere I'd have to pay 20% of unknown costs when I could go to a million places and pay 0%? Because they lied by omission. They lied. They are liars. My therapist was not good, I learned way more about her life than she did about mine. I finally decided I wasn't getting anything out of the appointments and discontinued my care. So what do I have to show for it? An unnecessary bill of almost $1000 for what should have been $0 in copays. Thanks for nothing, Ellie Mental"
