"Highly unethical, self-centered, insecure. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Never remembered anything we’d talked about, frequently compared me to her other clients using detailed descriptions of their personal problems. Made every session about her and her issues and “not trusting her to ‘fix’ me”. How could I trust her when every session consisted of her gaslighting me or making light of my problems (which she’d then turn around and say we’re too complicated for her to manage) and talking about her? Her ex-husband is somehow related to me, and every session I’d also end up having to tell her that yes, I know who such and such person is and I’m glad you liked them. I’m sure there are worse counselors out there, but you’d have a hard time finding one. If you do see her, be aware that details about your problems might very well make their way into a session with another client."

Melisa goes up and beyond a 30 minute office visit and has taken time out of her personal life to speak with me when I needed a professional and a friend.
