Reviews of Regal UA Commerce Township
"I personally enjoyed this theater. It's a classic movie theater right out of the 1990's. No thrills. The sound and picture were top notch!"
"I am a direct care provider and my prrson served loves coming to this theater. He normally orders the nachos and a drink. The cheese topping is either not melted to serve or is watered down. There are no other menu items available unless you wait for it to be delivered to you in a dark theater and you can't add your toppings or see what you got. The young inexperienced staff have no manners and attempted to whisper to each other that I had the nerve to complain about waiting for concession stand food that I am already being overcharged for. There is a reason my person served picks this place. It is always empty and for a reason."
"The theater felt very out of date. Even though the Regal websites boasts about a bar to buy beer and wine, all sorts of food, and comfortable seating, this theatre had none of those amenities. This felt very odd as at this point because I feel like consumers have come to expect a certain level of expectation from modern theatres. This theatre had the old uncomfortable seating and after sitting through a 2-hour plus movie it definitely makes me want to choose any of the competing theatres for my best experience for my dollar. I expect more from such a large theatre in such a populated area. At the very least my ticket price should be cheaper than other theatres that provide the additional amenities that we have all come to expect at this point."
"Pros: Good collection of regional and international movies. Excellent “loud” sound systems if you like that kind of extra booms. Also, if you wanna watch a movie with less crowd, This is a place for you. Cons: not great food varieties. Mostly less crowd. Hence, no seat selection options. Arrive early for new movies to get the seats of your presence. Overall, an ok place to visit if you want a quiet focused movie experience."
"I must preface this by saying I'm sure others must've had a less creepy experience, and overall it's probably a decent enough place to see a movie, but my wife and I felt we were actually in a horror movie. Other than one person working the concession stand, two in the guest services area, and one more sweeping off to the side, we were the only ones there. We saw no other patrons the entire time. The hallway was dark and silent. We didn't have to worry about bothering people who were also seeing a movie, because there weren't any. After the movie, we each used the bathroom. She told me the lights kept flickering in hers. In mine, there was the sound of grinding pipes the whole time, and once I left, I heard a big crash inside. Again, no one else was in there. All in all, a very creepy Overlook Hotel vibe, but I'm sure that's not a common experience. Although I wouldn't be surprised to discover it had actually closed 20 years ago after a horrible accident. Also, when I saw other reviewers mentioning high concessions prices, my first thought was "movie theaters always overcharge." Then I went there. Yes, these prices seemed higher than most other theaters."
