Hampton Inn Kalamazoo

"The hotel's location is convenient, situated near the airport and downtown Kalamazoo. However, the service was disappointing, and the breakfast consistently lacked items and was unclean. I wouldn't suggest staying here; it's regrettable as it's been my worst Hampton experience."

"We spent one night over New Year's Eve to celebrate in the town festival. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast ends at 10am which was a bit early for new years day... the location is reasonably close to everything. The Air Zoo is just down the road and downtown is only about 10 minutes drive."

"Hotel not up to Hilton standards. Room 327 had wet desk chair, sticky stain on carpet and funky smell. Disappointed. Hotel clerk didn’t try to make it right at checkout. Just said she’d tell the manager."

"A notch or two below your typical Hampton Inn. The staff is attentive, and the public areas are clean and pleasant. Breakfast was about average for a hotel in this price range, with the usual waffles, cereal, yogurt and fruit. However, no meat was available with the eggs, just sausage gravy on a Sunday morning. The hotel's weakest point was the filthy carpet in the guest rooms (also experienced on a prior stay), covered with gummy black and grey stains. The rooms have carpet tiles - just replace a few and the overall appearance would be greatly improved. Also, the sheets and pillowcases smell old and stale. In this price range, there are better choices in the Kalamazoo area."

"This hotel was very mediocre. It looks like no one at corporate cares. The carpet on the 4th floor is rolling in the middle and is very dangerous. The carpet in my room was very stained but otherwise my room was very clean. My license plate was stolen and literally the young man at the desk blinked at me because he did not care at all about the crime in your parking lot. Apparently a car was stolen from the parking lot recently, as well. The breakfast is basically the same every day with lukewarm food and unripened fruit. The indoor pool was absolutely freezing. The location is convenient but the area isn’t great. I will say that for being next to the airport, it was still pretty quiet."
