Reviews of The Hanover Insurance Group Regional Office
"Looking for new car insurance I currently have Citizens/Hanover….ive been with them since I was 16….. I pay over 300$ for ONE vehicle with 2 no fault accidents on it. They keep raising it. They will raise it even more with rental/towing fees also… and refuse to let me switch company’s till I pay their other policy off.. and keep saying there’s nothing I can do. Gave the wrong information for a claim and I called several times…. Takes over a month for my claim… and now I’m renting a car for a few hundred dollars…they have no problem taking your money all for full coverage…."
"This by far is the worst insurance company you could ever use been over two months trying to get my deductible back from Emily Goans. It seems like these guys have no idea what the hell they’re doing run you’re better off not even having insurance then using this company.."
"Worst customer service ever, closed a claim without notice, falsified documentation when presented with the facts asking what they would do to make it right they said nothing and hung up the phone. i was told through my agent the person was reprimanded yet and that they are showing they have called me. to this date i have 0 calls from them a falsely closed claim with lies on them that i have on video to completely disprove everything they are stating. Company takes 0 accountability."
"Citizens/Hanover insurance is awful they raise my rate more than $700.00. I am making a claim with BBB. Don't use these company"
"Coy Management Style & Micro Managing Co-Workers I enjoyed working at the Hanover, I felt they had a good work-life balance, and great compensation, and AT FIRST I thought I entered a workplace that was free of the childish shenanigans I was used to in the legal field. When I trained for the job I was only trained for an hour a day and then I was thrown a job aide and expected to grasp the information. Once it started to show that my work was not as efficient as it should be, I was put on a performance plan and was told I would have time to improve. Which I accepted because I genuinely thought they wanted the best for me; but within 28 days of that performance plan, I was being called in to be terminated. I understood but I feel like the bases of my performance was ridiculous because my training process was lazy, and I did the best with what I had. Also, the coworkers had 0 respect for our operations manager, they went over her head and constantly ridiculed the decisions she made as our MANAGER. My coworkers had a little too much influence which led to EXCESSIVE MICRO-MANGING from CO-WORKERS, without proactive interference from management. As a newer and younger employee, I felt ostracized for the mistakes I made and was fired for. I don't think Hanover is a terrible place to work, but they could have gone about things completely differently to avoid this outcome. Also, I was aware that I had a pending termination heading my way because, during the last 2 weeks of employment, my manager stopped our weekly meeting and became distant; therefore making it obvious. Prior to termination, I had been anticipating when they were finally going to do that. I am able to recognize how I could've improved but the true question is does Hanover know how they can improve with future employees? Especially newer employees of color."
