Tarragon Motel

"The bed was not only very dirty but also full of fleas. I am still trying to get rid of them. The manager was ok, however her husband was drunk every evening and wanted to pick a fight with me twice, and I am disabled, on oxygen, and in a wheelchair. I stayed at this motel the first time approximately ten years ago. It was a lit more pleasant. It is in a convenient area though."

"I know my review may be irrelevant today, but 10 years ago I stayed there for 2 months. Kim and Bob were the people who owned it then. I had driven over 4 hours to take a job that I had to take, or refuse. I received my call at 10am and was needed that night at 6pm to work. I took off completely unaware of where Marinette was. I had no time to look for lodging before I left. I made it to work that night and the job was removing arsenic from the Menomonee River. My shift was 6pm - 6am. I had been awake for well over 24hrs when I found this motel the next morning. There were no vacancies in any hotel/motel in the area due to a huge fishing tournament occurring that week. Around 9am, after driving around everywhere I decided to just go to this place because I was literally exhausted with another 12hr shift that night. Upon arrival, the motel looked empty. Little did I know about the tournament. I went in to speak to the people and was told no vacancies for days. As I was leaving thinking I was going to have to sleep in my car, I saw a lady leaving. She was struggling with her bags so I offered to help before I drove off. My luck changed immediately. She had reserved the room for 4 days but was leaving for an emergency. The room was transferred to me and it was the most fortunate outcome that could have happened. I stayed and did my job. I paid 200 every week and had fresh coffee every afternoon when I woke up. I also became friends with Kim and Bob. The place definitely wasn't the Royal Palace, but it was exactly what I needed when I needed it. I'm glad I helped the community by cleaning up extreme pollution and I've never been back since, but will have that memory forever"

"Checked out motel with idea we would stay. After seeing office and looking at a room in terrible condition that was filthy Decided best to go elsewhere. The re supposedly remodeling but it will take much more than I think they are willing to spend."

"STAY AWAY!!!! Made a reservation...after driving all day from Minnesota I arrived at 9:50 p.m. to find a note stating they were CLOSED and would re open at 8 a.m. From the outside the place looked like a dump. Very angry I had to sleep in my vehicle but I am glad i didn't stay there just from the appearance of the outside."

"It's the cheapest hotel in the area, so expect nothing fancy but does the job just fine. Your able to do your laundry there and they have weekly rates,if your in town for the shipyard or for one of the week long fishing tournaments that are around for the summer. And there's plenty of room in the parking lot for your fishing boat. Up the hill from the motel is a bar and grill, with pretty decent food and usually good group of people that hang out there and across the highway from the motel is a restaurant were you can get one of the best prime rib plates in the area."
