"I love this bar! Stopped on snowmobile and this was a favorite. As a full time fishing guide I can appreciate all the mounts and the up north feel of the place. Bar owner was very sweet also! Bar is cash only so come prepared. Highly recommend."
"Myself, family and friends have been staying at Wittig's for over thirty years. Becky and Tom have continued the tradition from Jim and Cherie. Always feel welcome and at home during our June week. Beautiful, private setting with an abundance of fishing success not only on Fishtrap and High Lake but numerous lakes close in proximity."
"LOVE THIS PLACE!!. Great clientele & staff. By far one of the best lake bars in Wisconsin. So much history here. Becky & Tom are great hosts."
"Wittig's point is a nice and scenic location that's connected to a beautiful lake. The minute we docked our boat I knew this place was the real deal. It felt a bit rustic and had that cozy vibe to it. It's a scenic place to stop for a drink and a pizza and just watch the game. The game room outside was very pleasant as well as it sported a ping pong table that I very well enjoyed. Although I did not stay there it does seem like a nice place to either lodge or relax and I'd highly recommend anyone who may be visiting near Boulder Junction to stop by there."
"A few years ago, my elderly father and I went on an impromptu boat ride one afternoon and ended up out a couple of hours - without cash, drinks, snacks, etc for either of us. We were enjoying a rare moment of outdoor togetherness after some pretty rough health experiences of his - and were pretty parched and sunburnt since we didn’t plan well. Wittig’s wouldn’t let us sit in the bar since it wasn’t technically open, wouldn’t let us pay with a card for food or drinks, and didn’t even offer a bottle of water to my 80 year old father. Would it have killed them to be a little kinder or lose 99 cents on a bottle of water? And we knew the family from grade school. Not sure why they were so rude but it was definitely NOT appreciated."
