Travelodge by Wyndham La Porte/Michigan City Area 438 Pine Lake Avenue, La Porte, IN 46350

"This place was nasty. Me and my husband stayed here unfortunately for two nights paid for two days before we knew what we going to have. First the banisters were all unstable to hold on to lose almost coming detached. Second the rooms were unclean. Showers had no water pressure and had to turn all the way up for hot water. Then it says no smoking but it smelled like marijuana the whole time we were there. Breakfast was sad coffee was nasty. While I was in the shower the people who ran it apparently got into a fight with the help and it sounded like they were in the room with me. Scared me didn't know what was going on. Ended up calling husband to come back to the room because of it. Also ended up with a nail going into the bottom of my shoe all the way through and into my foot from the carpet we were figuring. Beds are hard as rocks. We learned our lesson never staying there again."

"Stayed in Laporte for the weekend while attending a Mr. Blotto weekend festival. Enjoyed a nice cozy room. Staff were welcoming and friendly folks. I am looking forward to returning again in February."

"The room looks like you stepped back in time and smells musty when you walk in. The chairs were stained, carpet was nasty, and there were cigarette burns and holes on the sheets in a supposedly non smoking hotel. The doors on both ends of the building stay unlocked all night so if your looking for security this isn’t it. The property is pet friendly however there is no green space to walk your pet."

"STAY AWAY!!! Called early in the day to reserve a room for my family. Women I spoke with seemed to have issues understanding my name and information which was fine, we confirmed information on both sides several times and I thought everything was well… until I drove over two hours only to find out they had no documentation of ever talking to me much less a room that was ready. The gentleman at the desk could have also shown a bit more kindness given the circumstances, though he did do everything he could to remedy the error. By the time they’d readied a room we’d gone down the street so, we didn’t stay. I understand this is a two star hotel, and if I wasn’t with my family I’d probably not have been bothered by any of this, but when your profession is hospitality and you show zero semblance of the term outside of a roof and walls followed by so little effort in making things right I’m forced to sit up at 1am angry enough to still write a review. So here I am. Only left one because zero wasn’t an option. STAY AWAY!!!!!!"

"Small parking lot, beds are so high up you will have to jump up, beds were comfy too! NO ELEVATOR, breakfast was extremely basic with a muffin, banana and juice. Overall good for a one night stay!"
