"Chesterfield had a watermain break and was under a boil water advisory. For obvious reasons Xtreme shut off the drinking fountains. However, they provided FREE bottled water during the advisory. What seems like a very basic gesture goes a long way. The new owners have also invested a lot into the gym. As a 12 year member, I am happy to see new equipment, new flooring, and maintenance being performed."

"I came there tonight me and niece first time there. All treadmills were broke and then we finally found two thought they were gonna work and mine would not let me change the speed at all instead and 1.0. I got on an exercise bike and it was broke also so not only did I get scammed out of 20 bucks for me and my niece which I don’t care about none of her machines work. I just wanted to go and have a good workout I was thinking about switching from planet fitness to them but I guess I will stay with planet fitness not trying to be mean not trying to talk bad I really was interested in going in there."

"It pains me to say this after being a loyal member here for over a decade, but i feel bad for the members, if who they say is taking over is actually taking over. (Cough champions gym cough). Multiple charges on my account after cancelling in person even AFTER the 30 days notice. Ive cancelled one other time in the past and this wasnt a problem. I thought it was a fluke but judging by recent reviews it looks like its been going on for some time now. Sad to go out on a sour note with my first gym that made me fall in love with bodybuilding."

"I'm in the same boat as the last review. I've been 4 months trying to cancel a membership with a signed form in place. I would advise canceling your credit card so they don't have access. Called management after each time they stole money from account and was told, "no worries it's taken care of". Which turned out to be a lie (4x). To your response: protocol was followed, check your records."

"I am in the USAF at Selfridge and called to notify them that I am no longer living in the local area. I now live more than 50 miles away and commute. I requested cancellation of my membership and I was told that the only way this can be done is by coming in person to the facility and filling out documentation to cancel my account. I stated that this is a major inconvenience and is there any way I can do this over the phone and I was told "NO" it has to be done in person. Your account will remain active until you can visit again. I guess I will just be contacting my bank to block them since they refuse to work with customers. EDIT: I also called back requesting to speak with the owner and told that he would be unavailable and again requested they cancel my membership and was told again this is the only way they will stop my membership. Normally businesses are willing to work with you on things, I don't appreciate the lack of customer service for a customer. It seems they are just trying to get you to continue to pay regardless of whether you can be there or not. I do not appreciate the "I don't care." attitude when I call explaining my situation."
