"Shawn and Jerry are an awesome father and son duo with tons of knowledge (and John the range officer was super great as well!). I was worried about taking a class that was so long all in one day, but they truly made it enjoyable and the breaks and lunch really broke it up. They’re both really funny, and Jerry had me cracking up, he’s playful, but is happy to answer any questions you might have and I had a LOT because I have never loaded, carried, or shot a gun before. I was extremely appreciative that they never made me feel stupid for asking anything. My only feedback would be to go into how we should be loading our weapons and how to do it/what to look for (as someone who has never done it, I asked about this because I literally didn’t even know how to face the bullets), and I also think learning a quick hands-on lesson on how to take apart a gun and the cleaning/maintenance basics would be really cool for more inexperienced people like myself. Other than those two suggestions, the class was extremely informative, and I feel better and safer after taking it. Thanks so much for the lunch, and for being so helpful and non-judgmental. You guys were amazing, and my step dad and I had a great time!"
