Kickstart Toddler Soccer

Also, interesting how other programs can teach things like O&D and the kids still have fun....we have done i9 twice now and my child has enjoyed it and learned much more than Kickstart. Coaches were nice and good with the kids but the program was not at all what we expected nor happy with at the end. Also, the building never turned on the AC, it was way too hot indoors for a summer sport for all present, especially the kids who were overheating every week. Us parents said something to the soccer group and they stated it was up to the building admin and all they did was open a door and run a fan. The soccer program did not teach kids much of anything about soccer, yes they are toddlers and let them run and chase the ball, but also some guidance is expected. We had to ask for one of the kids to be goalie on each team (yup, that is a part of soccer, and yup there were enough kids, and yup they were just scoring all the time without one) what does that teach? The coaches were not teaching the kids what to do. The coaches were also letting the kids continue to touch the ball with their hands, pick it up, not teaching anything like offense/defence, how to throw in, how to stop when playing goalie. For the money you pay here it is not for teaching sports, it is an overpriced, terribly hot, playground with a soccer ball and some cones."

"Great staff of coaches using a US Soccer endorsed curriculum for development located in the best facilities in S.E. Michigan. It's a great introduction to sports for your toddler."

"Getting the vibes that this is a good program for building listening skills and learning to follow directions. I wouldn’t consider this a soccer program by any means. My son is in the 3-3.5 year old group. They used a soccer ball for a whole 7 minutes the entire session this week. Kinda feel like all the hype is from stay at home moms looking to socialize their kids with other adults and children. Myself, I’m pretty bummed and looking forward to coaching AYSO this spring for my son :)"

"Absolutely love this program! My daughter just turned 3, and has been participating for 1 year. We haven't missed a session. My wife and I noticed a major improvement in her listening to instructions, social interaction and interest into something new. She never doesn't want to go to soccer! The coaches always make it fun each week with different games the kids play, all while incorporating some form of soccer skills to learn. Now every time my daughter sees a ball on the ground, she kicks it and yells gooooaaallll!! Can't say enough great things about Kickstarter."
