Furteelay Dance, located at 6018 Rochester Road in Troy, Michigan, is dedicated to sharing Punjabi culture through performing arts and dance. With classes in Canton, Novi, Troy, and Rochester Michigan, students have the opportunity to become Bhangra superstars, learn new skills, or stay in shape.
The institution's coaching staff, with over 30 years of experience, works closely with students in small groups to ensure personalized attention and growth. Students can showcase their skills at the end of the year recital and even compete in Bhangra competitions across North America, building leadership and team-building skills.
Furteelay Dance also offers virtual bhangra classes, bringing the art form to students all over North America. Additionally, the institution hosts fun and exciting Zumba classes, combining a workout with learning new Bhangra steps. "Furteelay Dance is like an iPhone: they're tried and true and they work great for people of all ages: 3-40+. 3/4 of my household, including my wife and kids, are now students at their brand new Troy dance studio and we couldn't be happier! My little ones (4 & 7 years old) have been students for almost a year now and they absolutely love the classes. They've been introduced to the latest Punjabi songs in their respective choreographies and are requesting to play them on our daily car rides. It's way better than PJ Masks songs on repeat! All of the coaches are very friendly and passionate about teaching the students the Punjabi culture and Bhangra/Giddha dance routines and it shows weekly. "I highly recommend Furteelay Dance to anyone ages 3 - adults! The coaches are all great and and really take the time to break down every dance step until the students are able to grasp it. They all make you feel comfortable even as a beginner! They also help kids with stage presence and encourage they to step out of their shell. My kids ages 4 and 6 are loving it and love showing us their new moves! I take the adult beginners class and it is a great workout and lots of fun!!!!"
