"I've been training at Smash Hit Kickboxing Club for over 2 years and highly recommended it. It's in the Business District of historic Pontiac, and the building has charm. It was built in 1886, and when you enter, there's a long stairwell that takes you to the 2nd floor. Between the all wood floors, and 20 long bags hanging from the ceiling, it reminds me of the Rocky movies. The owner Ken, was a professional kickboxer, a national champion in the 80's and he retired undefeated. Plus the cardio workout is off the chart, and it will get you in shape quickly."
"Amazing Instructors, great prices! Worth every penny, first class is free! I usually get the $100/month unlimited package - otherwise classes are $15 each and they have tons of package options that are worth it! Real-world boxing and kickboxing skills. Gym is a fantastic setting - authentic kickboxing gym. Prepare to sweat and throw some jabs!"
"Never thought I could fall in love with working out, but it happened. I attend a variety of Smash Hit's Kickboxing classes and have experienced each instructors class. Every single class I've been to has been fun, challenging and is geared toward all skill levels. The instructors push you and give you the opportunity to push yourself at your own pace. Sticking with kickboxing has proven to give my body the make over I wanted as well as teaching me self-defense. The people who attend class are open and friendly. Everyone is there to help each other learn and reach their personal goals. I would go as far as to say that this natural life-style change is addicting and I couldn't be more happy that I chose Smash Hit Kickboxing to help me get to where I am today! I encourage everyone to give this place a shot, no matter your skill level. It doesn't matter if you've never done it, or don't go to the gym and it certainly is a thousand times better than running!"
"Smash Hit Kickboxing is a fantastic place to be, regardless of your goals or expertise. The trainers give you individual attention, even in group classes. Everyone -- including students -- are extremely friendly and helpful. It honestly requires so much less willpower than going to the gym because it's so fun, but you'll always break a massive sweat and have the opportunity to challenge your strength, flexibility and focus. The rank system here makes advancing more measurable, attainable and fun. You have something to work toward. I know I'm excited to get a little better before I start sparring with other people. Whether you're into more choreographed workouts or a military style butt kicking, you'll find that there are a wide variety of instructors so there's something for everyone. If you're hesitant JUST DO IT! You won't be sorry."
"I went into kickboxing as a newbie. I’ve always wanted to do it, but was scared because I have no idea what I am doing and none of my friends would join me. Well they had a great special going, so I sucked it up, signed up and I went alone! 10 classes later, I am hooked! It’s so addicting and FUN!! This is the only exercise that I love and look forward to going as much as I can! Ken is a fantastic instructor! He takes his time to teach good technique and makes it enjoyable! The music is great, the people are fantastic! If you’ve ever wanted to try kickboxing, DO IT! You will not regret it! I would suggest starting with their intro class “Kickboxing for Dummies” on Saturday first, and then go from there."
