"We absolutely love this Dojo. My 10 year old son has been attending for a couple of months now. He has learned a lot in a short time. He is excited to come every day. He learns something new every day, and as one of the Sensei's asks him, "Are you better at Karate today than you were yesterday?" He always answers, yes, and he's always being honest. They teach and value discipline, honor, respect, self-respect, integrity, fun, and, of course, karate. The Sensei's here, as well as the Kyoshi, are wonderful teachers who know how to work well with students of all ages and skill levels. They push their students hard, but in a positive and meaningful way that will set them up for success in not only karate but in life as well. Since starting here, my son's self-confidence has improved dramatically. His respect, discipline, and manners have all improved. He is also doing as good as ever in school, so this isn't impacting his education negatively whatsoever. He is very small for his age and got bullied a lot as well as beat up. He now has confidence and isn't scared like he used to be, but at the same time, they have instilled in him the principal that karate is to be used in tournaments and for self-defense. They are taught well never to use what they have learned to purposely hurt anyone else for no reason or out of malice or anger. The only acceptable reason is always self-defense, and they prepare the students to be able to handle themselves in real-life situations as well as tournament settings. I highly recommend this Dojo for students of all ages and skill levels from young kids to adults. You won't be disappointed. In this economy, they still have very fair pricing, which is a blessing to a family like mine that doesn't have a lot of extra money. All students learn at their own pace, and they're taught that it's okay. Different students learn at different paces. The most important part is putting in the time and effort. This Dojo helps to build character, which is very important in life. It instills courage. They reward hard work. I can't say enough good things about this Dojo. Give them a try for yourself or for your kids. I promise you won't regret it. It's a dangerous world we live in. It's also important to have activities to keep yourself or your kids' minds and bodies actively engaged. They have a great starter deal at the moment for new students. The first month of classes as well as the uniform for only $75! Even if you're not 100% sure and are still on the fence about it, come on down and talk with the Sensei's or Kyoshi. My only regret is that we didn't sign my son up sooner. After watching her 10 year old brother, his 14 year old sister is now interested in joining as well, so I'll be signing up a 2nd student soon and hope to see some of you there!"
