"By the time you get to their amazing physicians you would have suffered through a slew of lost and confused administrative staff who: A) Booked me to the wrong department and 5 months later called to schedule me for another 5 months wait. B) Booked my son in the wrong department and after 4 months called to reschedule for the right department, then lost that booking. C) Refuse to provide service if you complain and then refuse follow up on your concern. D) loose your samples (yes, they misplace your biological samples E) Have uninformed nurses answer messages for the physicians causing even more chaos. Notice all the bad reviews are post Covid. They got hit with a crisis and mishandled it at biblical proportions. More importantly, they refuse to even acknowledge or face it. A sad, sad demise to what was once a giant in the field of medicine."
"I have had excellent care from my psychiatrist and therapist there. They have helped me in a number of ways which translates into enjoying life more now. They earn my highest praise - Dr. Sara Figueroa and Kris Konz."
"took my 9 year old son about 1 year to get in and just before Covid 19 hit. They haven’t had Face to face appointments available since March 2020 . It’s now October 15 and their reasoning is because they don’t have PPE ? I find that hard to believe. Very disappointed in U of M"
"I posted a review but I no longer see it, whoever is deleting reviews please know that I will make time to keep posting my experience! My initial review included profanity so I will assume that is why it was deleted. So I will tell me experience without the cursing. I have had so much going on that has delayed the delivery of this review. I offended Dr. Shaw by going back to my original prescriber of meds. Dr. Shaw let me know that if that was my choice, to get my medicine from my PCP, she would no longer consider seeing me as a patient. Even though I let her know my the medication we were talking about is not only for my mental health. She retaliated against me choosing not to have her administer my medication by suggesting I find a therapist within the community that may be better suited for my needs and by not referring me to the groups she felt would be helpful for me. The female therapist, Rachel Faith, who I saw once was very old and not relatable. I told her how therapy would benefit me and she had a rebuttal on how she wanted our sessions to go. I found the staff to be incredibly nasty and arrogant. I found them to be incredibly judgmental. After Dr. Shaw let me know that she would no longer see me as a patient she then refused to refer me to the groups that we talked about would benefit me. I was not impressed with my care at U of M so I didn't fight to be there. I am not happy to have read the notes that have come from U of M about the care that I have received there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially a woman of color. Contact patient relations for any negative experience you have here because another review that WAS posted is no longer here either and she said her initial post was also deleted."
"To the reviewer giving one star, if you're going to your old doctor for meds because you don't agree with their treatment, of course they're going to stop treating you. That's not "falsifying records" that's you being an uncooperative patient. You go to one doctor at a time for an issue or prescriptions could conflict and even kill you. Reviewers like you keep people from getting the help they so desperately need and you should be ashamed of yourself. I have needed the crisis outpatient clinic here twice in my life and both times they have been kind and patient and extremely helpful. Yes, they will eventually guide you outside the clinic for help because they need that space for someone who is in urgent need of help. But first they'll get you to where you can make that leap... If you assist in your own recovery and mental health needs. I didn't the first time and I didn't do well out in the real world. This place has put me back on my feet again for the first time in five years, and I am so grateful for that. If you are reading this because you think you need help, please don't hesitate to find it."
