Meijer

"First let me say that the store is clean and looks great. I usually shop auburn hills and was pleasantly surprised at how good the store looked compared to the last time I was there. However, on my way out, I decided to carry my small bag and leave the cart. Was told today, 2-13-24 at 3:30 pm by the woman "greeting" at the grocery door to put my cart where it belongs. Now, I am an elderly woman. I have had 2 major surgeries in the last 14 months,and another scheduled in 2 weeks. I did not leave the cart in the middle of the aisle, I tucked it off to the side. At times an 40 extra feet to walk for me is an effort. What happened to customer service? The woman was leaning against the wall doing literally nothing! When I was in customer service, we would have taught the employees to offer to put the cart back where it belongs. Not TELLING the customer to boldly don't leave that there, put it where it belongs. I won't shop this store ever again."

"I think Meijer is pretty good. Love their produce department. The seafood department is pretty nice also. Their prices are compatible with some of the other stores. I have recently noticed some changes that I'm not real happy about. I used to be able to pick up all my favorite items but recently they have been changing to store brand and different brands from what I typically used in the past and was able to buy from there. One example out of many, they used to carry McCormick guacamole mix but now they only have the store brand and Old El Paso. I have used the McCormick for many many years and they're making me pick a different product. I have seen this on several products that I normally Buy over the years. Hoping this trend will not continue. The retailers should not make decisions for their customers"

"Typical Meijer! You go for the selection, cleanliness & sale prices. Not for their excellent service! You might get a greeting entering & leaving the store, but absolutely no offers of service in the store aisles. Two years ago, I was shocked when someone asked me in an aisle if I needed help, only to have them proceed to get me to apply for a Meijer credit card! Also, since they barely have cashier lanes open, I think you should receive a discount for scanning & bagging your own groceries! They save money, why shouldn't the customers save too?"

"Store was clean, well stocked. Had a convenient mail slot at customer service to mail letters. Carried the cinnamon waffles our other grocery is always out of. Had a wait for self checkout was a minor negative."

"Pickup service was great. Much faster than other Meijer locations. This is a big store, plenty of parking, and the pickup is located on the furthest side of the parking lot, closest to the “fresh” sign. Also liked that they have special “quick trip” parking spots, for people who plan to be in and out of the store quickly."
