"This Man has saved my life with my successful MVD Surgery for TN. I had it on 5-2-19 and Woke up Pain and Med Free. He was very informative and caring to my family . And when I needed questions answered after Surgery his answers came immediately. I would Highly recommend him to anyone and everyone that is afflicted with TN."
"I have been seeing Dr Casey for years. He is very knowledgeable. I wish I could attend his seminars for Trigeminal Neuralgia. He knows so much. Sometimes there is a bit of confusion in the office as he's not there often but he is worth the wait. He also understands the pain one goes through when the meds run out and getting the run around with the pharmacy. He has called them himself to make sure the meds gets dispensed properly"
"Extremely disappointed. So my daughter was diagnosed with Epilepsy about 3 years ago. She has been seeing the same neurologist since being diagnosed. My husband and I wanted to get a second opinion on my daughters disorder, as well as other possible treatments options. Not being fully satisfied with our current neurologist we sought out another office. We searched online for a doctor in our area that treats Epilepsy disorders and we came across Dr. Casey. It said online he treated Epilepsy and seizure disorders. Perfect! We call the office, explain to them in detail why we were making the appointment. The receptionist told us absolutely, and set up the appointment. We go to the office and sign in. The doctor then comes out to call us back. We get up to go to the room and he says “no just the patient first” ok.. she is a minor so that kinda rubbed us the wrong way that he wouldn’t allow us back with her. But we thought maybe he just wanted to get some info about her seizures and maybe what she experiences personally while having them. Not a big deal. After about 15 mins of him speaking with her he then calls me and my husband back to the room. He shows us her last MRI she had and explained everything was normal. Of course that’s good news so we were like, ok awesome! After that he looks at us and says “so why are you here?!” “I’m a brain surgeon, I don’t treat epilepsy disorders” “I’m not sure what you thought I could do for you?” I responded “well online it says you treat them and when we called to make the appt whom we spoke to never indicated you don’t treat Epilepsy patients. We are here to try to get more treatment options for our daughter.” Then making us feel stupid again, he says “ I do treat them through surgery if it can be corrected that way, but in your daughters case surgery wouldn’t help her” At this point I was so angry because not only had I wasted my time, missed work, my daughter missed school, my husband missed work to come to an appt we were so optimistic about, only to reach another dead end but because we were also treated like we were dumb and didn’t understand exactly what he did! Maybe when we called to set up the appointment, they could have told us that. It was just an awful experience, but you better believe they hit me with that 30$ copay being leaving even though he couldn’t do a thing for us and made us feel stupid. My daughter was so emotional when we got to the car bc she was really hoping he would be able to do something different that may have been more successful at controlling her seizures then the prescription medication she has to take that gives her horrible side effects. It’s just how you speak to people is what makes all the difference. Also a little compassion goes a long way! If you only treat epilepsy/seizures through surgery, that needs to be made clear!"
