Reviews of Live Well Neurology And Sleep
"Profit over Patients. I am a healthcare worker. Front desk is not cordial and lacks patient empathy. Phone staff doesn't communicate all necessary information to new patients and makes it your problem later. Anything that one could need from your doctor or could simply think of they will charge you $50 out of pocket for. Regardless of if you are aware of the policies. According to the office manager it isnt their responsibilitiy to communicate fees and policies to new patients when we incur them although they are made up by and exclusive to this office so patients should be made aware. Alternatively they let us leave work, to drive to our appointments and refuse to see us unless we make a suprise payment before going back. Even if one calls ahead, they will privide no fee warning so you can prepare a way to be able to pay. Then if you're 15 minutes behind as they figure out what's going on with why you owe money they say you're now too late and have to reschedule the appointment AND pay them some money now. Don't come here if you are elderly or poor as every lift of a finger they can't bill insurance for is $50 per task. Paperwork in, paperwork out, signatures, being too sick to make it, just to name a few of an entire page long list. You could genuinely die and they would send your late husband a $50 unwaivable missed appointment fee for the inconvenience."
"When scheduling an appointment with this office I was looking to be fitted for a replacement mouth guard and specifically asked if their office did this. The office reassured me that they fit people for mouth guards. When I arrived for my appointment the physician that spoke to me was extremely condescending and cut me off several times in conversation. I’ve worked in healthcare for 26 years and I know to be very concise with my responses, and despite this, she was very impatient with me. The physician asked if I had a copy of my sleep study, and when I pulled up the sleep study report on my phone, she scolded me and told me to put my phone down during the appointment. I explained to her that I was just trying to give her the sleep study that she requested. She began talking to me about CPAP products, and I told her that I came to be re-fitted for a mouthguard. The physician continued to push the conversation in the direction of CPAP devices. Again, I told the physician that I do not need that I came to be fitted for mouthgard. She became extremely nasty towards me and, “You already told me that.” I told her that I’m not interested in the c-pap equipment, I scheduled the appointment for a mouthguard fitting and confirmed this when setting up the appointment. Her response to me was, “I’m not a dentist, you have to go to a dentist for that.” I told her that a physician that specialized in sleep medicine molded my last mouthpiece, and I confirmed with your office before scheduling the appointment and they confirmed that you do this. She then asked me why he came to her office and why didn’t I go to the physician that made my last mouth piece. I told her that I resigned from Henry Ford and that my new insurance doesn’t cover me going to that physician. At that point she told me that her office does not fit patients for mouth guards. The physician walked out of the room and sarcastically said “You have a merry Christmas.” Mistakes happen, and maybe employees in her office didn’t understand that their office was not equipped to provide the service that I asked for. What’s upsetting is that the physician in this office was so condescending and unapologetic when this mistake was identified. I am upset that I went in for a mouthguard and the physician continued push me in a different direction for a product that I did not need and want. I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism by a physician. At the end of this I left work early for this appointment and I’m going to have to pay an office visit."
"Went to them as a hospital followup. What a joke. Been in communication with Dr and for a week left me suffering with a 9/10 migraine then said she'd given me a steroid prescription. When I called her out on it she admitted I didn't. So why say u did and leave me suffering when u apparently DIDN'T read my file. Has left me with no abortives now over a month, no preventative and as of today according to insurance company no prior authorization has been placed for the Botox preventative. So over a month suffering. Avoid at all costs! I won't be going back"
"I don't know what's going on with rhe billing department at this location. I too got a surprise bill that they said to "not worry about" from last year's appointment. Now 10 months later they blow up my phone and email demanding payment. Dr. Zaki is great but I am tired of dealing with billing drama. This is the third time they have messed up a bill because they didn't even bother billing my insurance."
"A new location to try and get away from the bad reviews left over the years at the Rochester office. 0/5 Stars | Dismissive. Do not even schedule your appointment. Hang up that phone, call back and cancel and go elsewhere. Doesn't read your file beforehand. Immediately questions why you are there, why are you on this medication? I don't know perhaps because my previous doctor with a PhD from University of Michigan puit me on them. Didn't listen to my patient history. Was dismissive of me talking and explaining what I have gone through testing wise and my medical history. Was quick to set me up with a test though and of course, conducted at her office and not at a lab or the hospital. Office staff is somewhat helpful and friendly, very young, possibly family who are still in school or going through schooling. I got a couple errors on calling in medication refills also. My current new doctor was very surprised at her suggestions to me and has kept everything the same as it was and I've felt perfect. I understand conflicting ideas about treatment and the best course of action but if a regimen is working and has no side effects, maybe leave it alone."
