U-M Kellogg Eye Center in Canton

"My eye test appointment was for 10:00. I has the test within 10 minutes of arriving. The test took no more than 15-20 minutes. My appointment with the doctor was for 10:45. After the nurse came for a short exam, I waited and saw the doctor for no more than 10 minutes. I left the clinic at 11:45. I was so mad. I go to Grand Blanc for another eye problem. I see the nurse for a preliminary eye test, dialation, then go have eye pictures taken, then see the doctor regarding the pictures, and then have an eye injection. All this is done with 1 1/2 hours of the appointment. Someone explain the terrible wait at Canton appointment."

"I experienced some issues with my left eye. After contacting the optometrist I saw and being told she doesn’t bill for medical, with a recommendation to seek services at Urgent Care or see an ophthalmologist, I called the office in Northville to see what they could do. Within 24 hours I had an appointment at this office as there was no appointments available at the Northville office. Sign in was easy and the doctor and his assistant were friendly. I waited less than 5 minutes before I was called into the examining room. Each procedure was explained before it was administered. I was so pleased I made an appointment for a yearly eye exam for next year. I had one earlier this year and the doctor let me know it was fine to wait a year before returning unless my symptoms got worse. Highly recommend this office."

"While the Physician was very nice, my eye issues were not resolved and I feel they were even dismissed. I scheduled another appt with a different practice and had to wait another month with severe pain and vision distortion that has impacted my life and work productivity. Days where I couldn't drive and had to miss work and lose money. . Praying my vision can still be restored. So yeah, I'm pretty upset. I've been waiting patiently to be seen in these difficult times. I am an understanding individual and deserve the same respect. I'm also a paying person, and sometimes we need to remember that a Doctor isn't gracing us with their presence out of kindness, but it is a transaction that requires satisfactory performance. There are no other services I pay for that leave me unresolved and unheard....I'd ask for my money back if it happened anywhere else. Take some time to listen to your patients please. Be kind, be friendly, and use your good talents to be a resource to those in your care."

"I waited about 3 months for my appointment date to arrive. I completed the echeck in online. I arrived 15 minutes early to the Canton opthomology center. And they cannot see me at my scheduled time. I take the clipboard given to me back up to the check in desk. I tell the nice lady that it is past my appointment time and she tells me it's only been a few minutes past. So, how many minutes do I have to wait past my appointment time which I have made about 3 months ago in order to see the doc? No respect for patient."

"As a patient of the U-M Kellogg Eye Center in Canton, I am extremely impressed with the professionalism of the staff, and the talent of the doctors. All of them excel in communicating on a level that is easy for someone who is not in the medical field to understand. The doctors take the time to make sure all questions are answered. The office is managed well, and I never have to wait long at all (a rare find in ophthalmology offices, from my experiences). And they are all part of a greater health care network, the U-M Health Care System. I highly recommend Kellogg Eye Center in Canton."
