Reviews of Havenwyck Hospital
"Communication with parents/legal guardians are almost non-existent!! Communication between impatient doctors and outpatient doctors are 100% non-existent(even if release/request forms are signed)!! So many inappropriate (including sexual) things go on especially during night hours and the patients voices are not heard!! Staff say inappropriate things to the paitents. Patients are pretty much called liers!! Patients phone times are NOT on schedule!! Upon admission parents/legal guardians list all approved numbers for patient to make phone calls to. During stay, patients are not allowed to look at that list!! Upon admission parents/ legal guardians are told and sign a form stating that we will be contacted and asked permission about ANY med changes. That's 100% NOT true!!! Also, there are NO doctors there on the weekends!! My child was there for 8 days and not one time did I talk to a doctor . I got to talk to a nurse one time the day after my daughter got admitted so she could introduce herself to me and then I got to talk to a case worker one time during the whole 8 days and that was a day before discharge for our "family meeting", which was absolutely pointless. 1000% regret sending my child to this facility!!!!!"
"I stayed here a few years ago and now being older I realize how much more the staff could’ve done for us and been there for us. As a little kid you don’t always know why you are feeling the way you do and the nurses here at the time of my stay i particular we’re not squirted to handle the situations they were put in and didn’t help any of the patients they saw. If you are debating on sending your family here please do not for the sake of themselves and your own guilty conscious."
"I really appreciate the social workers and therapists I had here, but I was both inpatient and outpatient and the doctors I saw there are awful and should absolutely be fired. Dr. Singul called me combative after I said I couldn't be put on anti depressants because I had a years worth of experience taking multiple anti depressants and all of them made me want to unalive myself. Dr. Kale is no better, I'm a plus size person and he saw my size and immediately put me and 5 other people on cholesterol pills. Seriously, the charge nurse of the E unit should also lose her job. She's unprofessional, she's yelled at patients, and she's clearly not fit to help people."
"While I was in my unit I had a great experience! For my first time ever being sent to a place like this i was very impressed. But I can’t say that for everyone’s experience. The unit I was on the day staff was incredibly friendly and they understood us! After getting out I went to the Adult PHP Program and it was a fantastic program to be a part of. I learned many new things while in treatment. The staff was so kind! And the groups were easy to be apart of. 10/10 Would highly recommend. Thank you! ✨"
"This place is horrible. I have a granddaughter that is suicidal and the emergency room Doctors sent her to this place. Only bed they could find.. She got there at midnight on Friday and we heard nothing from a doctor or counselor until Wednesday. When we did hear from them, it was for her release. The decision was done with not input from the parents. When we questioned why we was told she would be there 7 to 10 days and she was beings released in 5 day, nothing was done the first 2 days because it was the weekend and no doctors would be there until Monday. without talking to the parents. We was told she met the "criteria". We told them the child was telling us she wanted to stay until she figures out how to not have this happen again. They told me kids tell parents differently all the time. The supervisor said she met all the criteria. I asked her for the criteria and all she could say was she met it. So they listen to the child not the parents for their criteria information. When I told her she needs help and she wants help that she had not received yet. She met the criteria. I said I didn't want to get the phone call she was dead because of their criteria, she started yelling ITS THE LAW, ITS THE LAW. When I asked what law she was referring to and told her to quit yelling at me. She tried to spin it around on me. Worst professional person I have ever spoke with!!! That whole hospital is a joke. I will drive her to any other hospital for long term help before I will ever go there. Now, they say she has met the criteria but are going to keep her another day, but she met the criteria so it's a law and it sounds like in her words she is breaking the law. I will fallow up when I find out if they are breaking the law as soon as I get a copy of the law she is referencing. I'm sure this administration was in the parking lot smoking pot when they taught the difference between a law and regulations or guidelines. To be continued...."
